LOOOOL epic poastTo be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to appreciate Zverev. His humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of his shot selection will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Alex's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his on-court celebrations- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these celebrations, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Zverev truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Zverev's existential catchphrase "THIS IS MY ******* COURT," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Sascha's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Zverev tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 500 TTW reaction points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
He's never beaten Nadal at RG, where Rafa is a completely different animal, even at 34. That is the beast he needs to overcome. Nadal's aura always becomes much bigger at RG, even if you have beaten him elsewhere.Thiem has 5 wins over Nadal. How him struggling against peak Zverev implies he can't beat a 34 years old Nadal?
To be honest this is his worst display in a final which is the biggest regret he would gave since tjis was by far the easiest of all opponentsWatching this match shows how ridiculous it was for Thiem to be considered the huge favorite. Both the odds-makers and fans totally ignored his established history in big finals.
He always is. He took one set combined in 3 FO matches against Nadal.LOL!
A meek loss to Zverev in a Grand Slam final will destroy Thiem's confidence that he's really at the level of Nadal and Djokovic. He'll be easy work for Nadal if they meet at RG.
