And to all the haters, still time to go buy yourself some antacids! Your butthurt is music to our ears...

And maybe grab some listerine while you're at it, just to rinse out your mouth... This is the WORLD NUMBER ONE you're talking about, not some cousin of yours who plays pickleball on the weekends.

PS congrats to Jack on a fantastic run and a valiant effort tonight.

Yeah, Sinner's very composed mentally on big points, unfazed. That's an ATG trait, you can't teach it. He's playing consistently well and just pushes through opponent's hot streaks when they happen, his level rarely drops.

Maybe Fritz/Tiafoe can do something in the final but not very likely.

Oh sinner is gonna have a dominant HC stretch like Fed did from 04-08 for sure. I bet he wins 4-5 AOs on a row and 4-5 US opens in a row. Especially if these Hardcourts stay faster

He literally beat him two matches in a row on two different surfaces. Sinner fans are hilarious, oh sorry I meant delusional.

he should have lost RG to sinner really. If Sinnee didn’t gas out. If Sinner gets his fitness right it’s over for Carlos. On all surfaces. Carlos is only a problem on very slow hards like Indian Wells

Draper avoided the Murray crashing felled tree timber!
So that is promising.

Sinner more routine, Draper used up so much energy and metabolic balance being so nervous.
That will change, he will get stronger and cope better.

"should have" lol more delusions. Well, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. That's some serious copium you're drinking.

As I said, it's all delusions and excuses with Sinner fans. Never seen a fanbase like this, it's quite remarkable. The guy beats a sickly Draper in a semi and now he's going to be Peak Fed for the next hafl decade, wild stuff.

Fitness is the only thing stopping sinner from being Federer dominant right now and fitness is the easiest thing to fix

Sure, that's the only thing.

I remember when the Sinner fans were saying that Alcaraz's body will never hold up and now they're using that as an excuse for their guy as to why he loses to Alcaraz. Wild stuff

Draper stayed competitive for two sets. Congrats to him for putting up a fight as long as he did against a true heavyweight. Hopefully, Draper will continue to improve while making some more deep runs at slams.

Truth be told I hoped for another break more out of sympathy for Draper and a quicker end then a straight Sinner win...

Sinner's Draper and Tommy Paul matches had almost identical scorelines: 5, 6, 2 vs. 6, 6, 1. The opponent exhausts himself keeping the match tight for two sets, then falls apart so Sinner can romp in the third.

No, my point was simple. This is the first generation that has not raised the level of play from the preceding generation. And IMO, they have actually taken a small step back.

Small step back is an understatement. The inflation era was already bad, and got worse between 2020-2023 that became the hyperinflation era

:D I'm going to be optimistic. Just mentioned Ginepri because they were talking about the last US Open semi with 2 Americans playing each other. Agassi vs Ginepri 2005.
I thought you were referring to his most famous run, lol. Anyway, was just trying to get you, it's an old police trick, you didn't fall for it. Good for you, kid.

Embrace him. He’s going to be the man to beat the next few years whether you like it or not.

Liking this Sinner kid more and more. Showing lots of stuffing in this tournament with the doping scandal hanging around, and still laying a beating on these others.

Will be a fun final either way.

Very true. But he is also a very One dimensional player. His game has ZERO finesse. He doesn't vary his height, pace as much. Bad at volleying as well. Zero variety. Plan A: Hit Hard - Plan B - Hit Harder.
Just boring. He's not as talented as Federer, not a warrior like Nadal and certainly nowhere near as efficient and fast as Novak.
Tennis will be a chore with him at the helm. The game NEEDS Alcaraz to succeed. Yes, he is tiny, but he has the talent and flair that is sorely lacking in everyone else in the ATP right now.

What he has done over the past 5 months, with this huge sword of Damocles hanging over his head, and then in the past 2 weeks, with everything out and all these haters spewing garbage, is nothing short of legendary.

Heh, heh. Jannik still not requiring his 'A' game. doing enough to get to the finals in straights, playing in the same conditions as his opponent. Anticipated the dude would get through, but nevertheless impressive that he continues to build momentum. Jack unwell, yet fought on - kid did his best, had a good run, should be proud.

Frances takes the 1st, will he get the win?

What athlete doesn't try to exploit a weakness?
That goes without saying. It was patently obvious that he should hit to Sinner's backhand after Sinner injured his left wrist. So his coach saying it like that was lame and unnecessary.

Glad that his player got absolute demolished in the end. Not only did Sinner beat him with better tennis, he completely destroyed him physically.
