I thought Kokkinakis was just some pretty boy with no heart, but to stay out there in pain like this is really admirable. He's really trying to stay in there even though he's completely done.

Dunno. I think it's gonna be hot and humid all week though. Anybody struggling to get through match today isn't gonna have a fun time in round 2.

to be fair with Kyrgios he lost a match agaisnst Paire at the australian open when he could not move in the 5th (cramping) but still played till the last point
He also threw games against Gasquet and said "I don't want to be here" during a Davis cup match. I don't think I'm being too rough on Kyrgios, he's a good player but Lleyton needs to teach him how to be a fighter.

Is there any betting sites taking bets on if Krygios retires too?

Obviously tanking so they can prepare for the Davis Cup tie

Sorry to tell you, mate, but Kyrgios would have retired by now.
No he wouldn't. Kyrgios was up 2-0 against Paire at the Australian Open and began cramping in the third set. He then stayed on till the end, losing in five whilst being completely unable to walk in the fifth set.

He's a chav on court but don't make up stories about what he would do.

Pre-sledgeitoric era!:p

I'm being tough on him in his sledge era, with a bit of tongue in cheek. I do remember his valiant performance Down Under and was fully on the Nick train from even before that (Stepanek upset at RG'13). However, his walkabouts are accumulating these days so I question his commitment. I would have hoped for a first ATP title by now and possibly advancing in slams past QFs. He has the talent. Hopefully, Lleyton can channel his mental energy into some results.

Funny Fact:

Reeshard Gasquet has dominant 21-2 record against players from two young generations while he is 3-31 against Big 3 so far in his career.

Just shows, there exists a huge talent gap between current ruling generation and young players.

Poor Kokk, seems like he's spent too much time in difficult Kama Sutra positions at nights and his legs couldn't handle the 5-setter.

That’s what happens when you stay in bed all night. Perhaps Kokkinakis would have been better off spending hot NY nights laying around under a table in a nightclub kissing various cocaine-snorting ladies.

Comms have said he's hobbling. Feeling bad for him if he's feeling that bad. NYC heat can be deceptive.

Deceptive ? There is nothing deceptive about it. It's been brutally hot and humid since the qualies. And it's always hot and humid late August early Sept. in NYC. And the weather always breaks shortly after the USO.
