Hmm... the BBC site listed the third seed as Hewitt for some reason.

I guess the draw isn't fully out yet so assuming Hewitt is 4th seed, we still don't know which side he's on (I think 3rd and 4th seeds are alotted randomly on either side). And for the more mystical among us, he might again be the tournament predictor (having lost to Federer, Gaudio, Federer in this year's slams respectively--wouldn't have read much into it except with how bizarre/mystical the Gaudio championship was at RG).

BTW, I can't believe Rainer Schuettler is in the top 15... I better go check on his results this year on the ATP site...

Umm... if Haas has to play in the qualifying tournament, anybody want to consider that an injustice? Like him or hate him, I would say the guy should get wildcarded into the event. Would anyone consider the qualifier tournament as training and preparation for him?

Any predictions on late withdrawels?

I sure all the better players will be on the Federer side. Roddick as always will play the injured / clay court specialist and Keifer will be on his half since he beat him 3 times.

Maybe it is time we just seed the top 128 players. You know the total should up up to 129. 64 should add up to 65, etc..

I can't believe they seeded serena williams 3, she does not deserve it.

Roddick is just about guaranteed the semifinals in most tournaments. Last years' open was a joke, his serious threats spent twice as much time on the court as he did. With the possible exception of Henmen, the draw was a gimmie. Other top seeds seem to have more difficult early round opponents.

Schuettler plays in tons of tournaments, and has one or two titles he still holds from last year's fall season.
Hmm, late withdrawal predictions, best bet is Juan Carlos. But I also could see withdrawals of all seeds 7-11, maybe not Gaudio, but it's possible.
I don't have any problems with these seeds, they did it by the rankings, as they should. The ladies, however, with allegations that S. Williams has been withdrawing from matches against better opponents for little reason at all, and with the way that Sharapova made her look in the Wimledon final, I do. I think that some recent matches Serena is winning now mostly because her opponents choke.
