Several of my teammates from my men's USTA team want to go to the US Open for the early rounds. Where is a good place to stay that is reasonably priced?

Should we stay in Manhattan or is there better deals somewhere in the suburbs which still have good access to the tennis?

Also where is the best place to get ground passes for the early rounds? Can you just buy them at the facility?

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

Definately stay in Manhatten for sightseeing, shopping, whatever tourists love to do. You COULD stay at the Sherton Hotel in Flushing which is 1 block away from the 7 train which is 1 stop away from the Tennis Center and Arthur Ashe Stadium but stay in the city for all the lights and sights.

The tennis center is right at the stop for the 7 train, so it doesn't really matter where you stay. Manhattan and the like is about 30 minutes away via the subway from Flushing. Prices will be cheaper outside of Manhattan.

Any of the hotels at the LaGuardia airport will be pretty close to the tennis center too. A short walk/bus to a subway stop and you are there.
