You're looking at those years as a whole. But the truth of the matter is, like @Tiki-Taka said, nobody was close. Since 2003, the start of the Big3 era, the closest any of them has ever gotten was Djokr in 2016, winning the AO16/RG16 combo. Aside from that year, including this 2019, any of the Big3 has only managed to win the AO, then got stopped at RG. CYGS is very hard, no?

I was on vacation that week and later read about weird stats of the first set of that match. Got some time today to enter the stats in the app to get my own opinion.

Here is another perspective. Even though Dimitrov had more winners, Medvedev forced him to make errors when he was in trouble.
