USA Boys doing good at FO!!!!

So there are 10 players left in the junior boys draw and three are from USA. That's not quite the terrible state of USA tennis on clay as everybody seems to think.

The local boy for me, Sam Querry, from Thousand Oaks, CA has a huge game and hopefully will win at least one more match to make quarters.

Anybody know anything, or better yet, have played him, or the other boys still in the draw; Jessie Levine or Matt Bruch?

Two girls left in the final 16: Alexa Glatch and Jennifer-Lee Heinser.

Not too good for boys dubs, none left. But still 1 USA team and one part USA team in girls dubs.

I have never heard of any of these players, but hopefully some of them will become good US tennis players, with the likes of Roddick representing us now :(

Actually there are 3 girls from USA left. You left out Vania King who is from Socal- Long Beach I think.

Alexa Glatch has a great all court game. 15 year old, 6 foot blonde to boot :D

Sorry, but American boys doing well at FO isn't anything new. I mean Kuznetsov got to the final last year and then Baker got to the final the year before that. But thanks for letting us know.:)

What is this supposed to mean....

Bryan baker still playing at the challenger. I don't like his game that much. He still needs a weapen to make a break though in to the 100s or may be top 50.

Sam Querry wins boys round of 16 match double bagel!!! Wow, 6-0, 6-0!!! Thats huge. His game is huge.

He is the last USA junior left (except for Alexa Gratch, on court now in girls dubs) in all of FO. Go Sam!!!!!

Matt Bruch is a player from out of the Chicago area. He is a right-handed baseliner who hits a two-handed backhand. He has signed with Stanford and unless he does real well at Junior Wimbledon will probably honor his commitement. Matt's sister, Lauren, plays for Virginia. He is a very talented player. From what I have seen, he seems to be a good kid. Last year, however, there was some controversy when he pegged a kid in the state doubles semi-finals. From what I heard from onlookers and the player he hit, it was totally unnecessary.
