Count the number of cricket chirps in a 15-second period, add 37 to the total, and your result will be very close to the actual outdoor Fahrenheit temperature

I can see why with both Northern Dancer and GOAT Secretariat in his bloodlines.

These days bloodlines, erm sex sells especially for racehorses! Stud fees for Galileo, Frankel, Tapit, Dubawi and Deep Impact meant they are worth far more standing at stud, servicing horseflesh [in hopes of producing a quality foal] than racing their nuts off on the track.

My husband passed a delivery van, possibly from Domino's Pizza, that said: "Drivers carry only fresh dough, no cash."

Liars they are if it's any chain...I pass by a Domino's regularly when the delivery truck is being unloaded. The dough comes frozen, not fresh.

This morning I dreamed that I was sitting in a park in Del Mar, staring at the ocean, and Maria Sharapova walked over and gave me a bowl of beetroot salad. Strange to have a dream about Maria Sharapova that centered on beetroot salad.

I wonder, amongst many things, if there is an icon in this reply box for pasting something in, or if there is a special key on a tablet keyboard for same, as Control V ain't gonna work!

Go to the box two to the right of the post picture icon, and click on it. Then click on code.

Pasting tryout below, which worked. But, I don't believe I phrased my question correctly and thus you were answering how to paste in HTML code or the like? Which I'd never have known where that was so I'm glad about that. Meanwhile I saw that I can actually paste clipboard contents in with my tablet if I just press hard enough in the reply box in the very upper left corner. Let's call the tip for pasting code "useful information!"

In addition to voting, give reasons for your answer!

Collies are such beautiful and friendly dogs, I love them. When I was a young child, perhaps 4 or 5 years old, we had a collie named Sweet. I still remember her! BTW, "Lassie" is one of my favorite TV shows. To this day I still watch the re-runs!

Will high-rise hotels with views of crowds begin screening luggage like airports? My biggest fear is the proliferation of nuclear knowledge, or rogue elements in nuclear states accepting money from terrorist groups for small nuclear arms. Sometimes the state of world affairs really, really gets me down.

The Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building

Toulouse-Lautrec's interest in art grew as a result of his being incapacitated in 1878 by an accident in which he broke his left thigh bone. His right thigh bone was fractured a little more than a year later in a second mishap. These accidents, requiring extensive periods of convalescence and often painful treatments, left his legs atrophied and made walking most difficult. As a result, Toulouse-Lautrec devoted ever greater periods to art in order to pass away the frequently lonely hours.

Some language translations are odd...only the English language refers to that city as Cologne. Both the French and natives call it Koln (sorry, no umlaut available).

Also, slightly unrelated...Christopher Colombo, an Italian, sailed for Spain and is known as Colon there. His surname means "dove" in Italian. Why was he called by Ferdinand and Isabella an internal organ or a punctuation mark? A literal translation would have us celebrating this next Monday as Paloma Day. Had he sailed for German rulers, would he have become Taube? Only if he had sailed for the French would he have been called Colombe.
