I was very disappointed the first time I shopped for beer at a Swedish supermarket. I kept double-checking the alcohol content in disbelief.

Are you sure? Our wonderful contemporary, SexiSuri, has found gainful employment in mammoth dump management.

Well the wedding had a ceilidh band and was held at Culzean Castle, my guess is not too many here can pronounce both. I did not wear highland dress as I am a lowland Scots not a highlander. head is a bit rough today but we went for a walk on the beach and the wind blew away a lot of cobwebs

Well, then we will have to do with a photographer's interpretation of how Jaggy would look at the wedding in a kilt.

I am confused as to why so many people who should know better keep referring to Ukraine as "The Ukraine." Soviet times were a long time ago.

They've all New Yorkers used to referring to NYC's fourth most populous borough, The Bronx.

The air travel (bird fly) shortest distance between Russia and Sweden is 4,364 km= 2,712 miles. If you travel with an airplane (which has average speed of 560 miles) from Russia to Sweden, It takes 4.84 hours to arrive. What made me think of this is that, IIRC, Sweden was first to alert the outside world of the nuclear accident at Chernobyl when they detected unusual radiation levels.

Edit: I just went to verify that my memory was correct and found an article dated this month stating that radioactive wild boars are invading Sweden.

Don't know if he was joking, or not! My colleague noticed that I always stick to drinking an initial double whiskey and then top it off with another single shot [much later] then promptly leaves the pub. He quipped, guys like me will never suffer male pattern hair loss because only heavy beer drinkers [like himself] suffer from early onset MPHL [he's not even 30]. Food for thought?!

I won a trophy on f1 for ps4. ''Best seat in the house.'' Finally a pole position. I thought I had one earlier on but when the race started I was third. Must have been a time penalty. One thing never changes over the years when I go in and out of playing F1 games. Monza has always been the track for me. So easy. Monaco is hard.

Andromeda, a star known from at least 15 000 BC, with Aristoteles knowing kind of every single detail about it!

Aristoteles who was the 1 of the 2 "Head Teachers" of the Makedonian Kingdom under appointment of King Philip The Second. The other Head Teacher was appointed from the mother of Alexander The Great (Alexander The Third). The mother of Alexander The Great was Mirtali, but after she got married with Philip had been renamed as Queen Polikseni. When King Philip won in the Olympic games of the time, she was renamed as Olympiada.

Aristoteles had taught Alexander and other Royal Greeks from Makedonia and Ipirus about Astronomy as well. Ptolemeos The First was a class mate of Alexander The Great. These class mates were bond together to death, and became one of Alexander's 40 Body Guards.

Of course, all 40 had kind of similar rights and could give Royal Orders on behalf of Alexander, as the traditions of Dorians were for Omioi (see Spartans, another prominent Dorian Tribe).

Ptomeleos A the son of Arsinoe, later became a Commander of Alexander, and then King of Egypt.

Ptolemeos has written about Andromeda, and we have writing findings from him about this beautiful star!

    Andromeda:

    Andro - Man (human alike)
    Meda - Rule, Govern

Which means Andromeda is The Governing Star in our Galaxy :)

Could SexiSuri run pass the big bay gelding and then win a second big title in Melbourne less than three months later in late January???

I know I will be shamed by fellow Vortexians for saying "SexiSuri" and "run" in the same sentence.

Many years of tennis have taken a toll on my shoulder and knees. This is not what TW wants to hear from people, but I have not been on the courts much lately. I prefer riding a bike on trails, hiking in the the Bay Area, and getting heavily into nature and other genres of photography.

So instead, I'll be having vodka, horseradish, tomato juice, lemon & lime, Tabasco & Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper w or w/o olive plus an optional stalk of celery depending.

Add some okra and you'll make a great gumbo.

Go 2:1:1 ratio of onions, celery and carrots and you have soffrito, the holy trinity of Italian cuisine.

It has rained in the Bay Area for the first time in many, many months. The light drizzle felt like a deluge.
