Using Clay Court Nike Breathe Free II's on Hard Courts?

Can you wear clay court shoes on hard courts?

Is it not safe to wear the clay court shoes for hard-court play? It seems that the outsole pattern would be more durable and provide more traction, but maybe it would be grip the courts too much?

They work great on hard courts if you ask me, the only problem I know of is that the tread will wear very quickly and they won't last long.
