That's what I doubt at the moment. Because let's be real, as annoying as those things can get here from time to time, that kind of bickering is what makes a sport lively (as long as everything stays peaceful of course).

But I have a very hard time to ever imagine people even lightheartedly bickering over the question "Alcaraz or Sinner".
I just wonder, where is the variety in the game?

I wonder if Alcaraz will ever learn the importance of playing defensively or if I'm gonna be repeating the same thing over and over again for the next few years. Surely after this match he or someone on his team will analyse what he did wrong here.
Not the problem here, if he plays defensive against this sinner on this hard court he is gonna get crushed, he should have got sinner out of the baseline with more dropers and change rythm more, he knows how to do that, but here he fell in sinners trap of hitting from the baseline

It has been becoming a routine for Carlos to lose matches where he could have won, having more bps, return and many stats.

Carlos Alcaraz holds, still down a break @ 4-5......Jannik Sinner serving for the match now. Does Carlos Alcaraz have any bit of magic left? Have to bring it out now.

Yup he should have employed way more slice and droppers and make him run front to back. He burned Sinner with a few beauty lobs earlier in the match. His serve needs serious work and hopefully that will come with time. He gets almost no cheap points.

Sinner has to be the least emotional Italian I've ever seen lol

Seppi. Not to stereotype but both from the North, I think.

I’m thinking if he gets to #1 it will be like when Edberg had it. Edberg was popular but didn’t really enjoy the spotlight that came with being number one and wasn’t exactly charismatic.

The problem is he's hit hard shots with no angle which Sinner hits back comfortably and this happens repeatedly until Alcaraz falls behind in the point. If he knew when to step back and respect Sinner's shots and hit balls with varying pace, spin and angle, Sinner wouldn't be running things as easily as he is now.

That is defensive and smart tennis and there's nothing wrong with it.

Then....everything's over.
No, then everything is over if you choose to react appropriately and take gas or slit your wrists. Roseanne, even before the anthem nonsense and the debacle of a reboot years later, was about as perfect a representation of what McLuhan warned us would be on the horizon created by the wasteland of the boob tube.
