I thought this would be the most epic USO ever with Roger/Rafa/Novak each competing for #21 and Novak the CYGS as well and was disappointed when Fed and Nadal dropped out.

But it’s turned out this tournament has been a lot of fun with so many competitive matches, upsets and even multiple final set TBs. Really looking forward to Labor Day weekend.

Don’t care too much about the offcourt drama, especially toiletgate. Alcaraz and Tsitsipas was definitely quality.

Hopefully that’s not the most suspenseful moment of the tournament though.

And no, Zverev getting pushed to 5 sets does not count. I’ve seen that episode far too many times.

Great match on right now with Tiafoe Rublev.

With how TsiTsi looked vs. Murray, figured it was only a matter of time before someone took him down. Not too surprising. Its looking like an inevitable Djoker/Zverev matchup but Med can take this I think if Djoker/Zverev go long

Med won't beat Novak - even if Novak plays 100 sets the day before. I think you forgot the beatdown of AO 2021. Unlike Thiem, Titspas, Berr - Med did NOT even win a set.
It will be the same this time.

Not like Federer had any chance of winning the USO this year...

He would have been knocked out early.

Shaping up to be an entertaining tournament so far, but I fear the last couple rounds will be pretty straightforward and undramatic. I see pretty easy wins in the semis for both Novak and Daniil and then another no-nonsense win for Novak in the final.

To top off with a Djokovic-Alcaraz final, please!

Nothing will create more buzz in the sports world, even with the NFL opening the season the same Sunday!

Got off to a perfect start. The whiny vulgar man-child Murray knocked out in Round 1 in a heartbreaker. Instead of being a gracious loser he chose to be a sore loser. Hopefully his farewell NYC appearance.

One of the most fun first few days of tennis we have had at a slam in a while. So many crazy things and matches.

It’s been very good. I was prepared to hardly watch it. Been watching a couple to a few hours every day. Yesterday several.

If Alcarez plays like he did vs Tsitsipas and maybe serves a bit better, he can reach the final, maybe even win it.

There is a difference in having the ability and having the mindset to not choke and be in the zone for 7 matches straight, so no idea what will happen until we see how he responds in the next matches
