USTA 4.0-4.5 doubles team in Durham, NC

Anybody heard of this team forming in Durham, NC? I was going into Duke's West Campus courts today and found a notice posted up on the gate. Just wondering if anybody else around here is playing on that team?

That sounds like the Durham 8.5 league (4.0 playing with a 4.5, ideally). Right now there are only two teams registered for the league. Drop me an e-mail at paulcory@mindspring.com and I'll send you the contact info for the captains.

Hey Duke nope, I haven't. I'll walk over to the courts today and check out the sign if it's still there. I live in Raleigh so I don't really hear much about teams over here in Durham... not sure what league this will be in... I think there's a local doubles league in Raleigh in the fall, but don't know if this would be w/ that...

I'm actually an undergrad senior in college... I go to Duke University

I know there are a bunch of combo leagues both in Durham and in Cary if you are interested. I can put you in touch with the League coordinator for Cary if you wish. I think the highest league in Cary is 9.5 and Durham is putting together a 10.5 team.

Well, I haven't heard about them, but the idea of a doubles team kicks ass.
