Been playing USTA for 30 years. Generally very competitive. Usually play court 2 or 3 doubles. Very good win record in 3.5. Move to Columbus Ohio. Been playing for 2 years. I play last court if I am lucky. Have had some double donut losses, first in my Career. I am playing with and against many 4.0-4.3 in my opinion. The 3.5 USTA league in our area is extremely tough for a true 3.5 like myself. In addition our team won the sectionals last year, played in Dayton Ohio and our strong team did not win one match in 3 days of playing! Yesterday the ratings came out for the 2 teams at our club. The team I am on had 7 of 11 players rated up. The other team had 8 rated up. Looks like a shakeup to me to a truer 3.5 league. If so I hope its not just in the Mid West USTA.

Im confused. The sectionals are in Indy. Do you mean regionals (are those in dayton for ohio??).
Or are you talking about two different years?
People got moved up everywhere. My team was only 4 points from getting to regionals (or state playoffs) and we had 9 out of 15 get moved up.

It stands for Mid_West. It's the name of one of their competitors.
Cool, you should be happy now then, you get to play them in the 4.0 league instead. (if you got moved up as well and are now forced to play 4.0)
No you dont get it, I was not moved up because I am a real 3.5! I dont mind playing a 4.0 who is on the cusp but these rock-solid 4.0's who could play a 4.5 and give them a game need to go up. And that what the USTA did!
