USTA Tri-Level League

My Team and I are about to start a Tri-Level league next month. It's basically a 3.5/3.0/2.5 doubles. I was wondering since we have a shortage of 3.5 players, can a 3.0 player play in the 3.5 level? If so, will his rating be bumped up to 3.5?

You can always play up, so yes...your 3.0 player can play the 3.5 line. It won't necessarily guarantee that he will be moved up though...that depends on how he does.

How does USTA judge how well he does, if his partner is a 3.5 and carries him? I would understand if they win all there games 6-0. Also it might not be the same 3.0 player partnered with the 3.5 player.

In our last 3.0 league, there was a DQ'd player from one of the other teams, that got upgraded to 3.5. All of his matches were forfeited and his team went from #1 to dead last. Then again there are alot of sandbaggers in the league that move up the following season, he just got caught in mid-season.
