Vólkl C10 Pro Twin absorber system broken

Question to all Vólkl experts,...

Recently I bought my second new C10 pro (the yellow 2010 version).

When I removed the grip pallets because I wanted to install S pallets grip 3 I noticed one part of the twin absorber system was broken (see picture).

Is this usual or is this a manufacturing fault?

If you remove the foam on the left-hand side, you'll see that it's about 1/4 inch long (if that). It looks to me as if there was a bit of trash on the right side and whoever was responsible for inserting the little foam bits just decided it wasn't worth the effort to clean that side out.

The Twin Absorber "technology" really doesn't do anything. Your frame is fine.

Thanks for your answer, Rabbit! You took away my worries about this. They play great anyway!

you are just seeing the 'bladder' on the right side - as that is a tube that goes completely around the entire frame for being pressurized with air during molding - these 'bladders' are needed for ANY frame, and with heavier types, left inside - they are often pulled out for lighter-weight frames - as the bladder weighs some 8-10 grams total... the small foam 'cap' is as Rabbit said... just a cover!
