Individualism definitely runs strong in this country. But right-wingers have taken it so far as to turn even Thanksgiving into another strike against socialism. And polls show that about 2/3 of Americans support public health care and government action on climate change. Not exactly individualistic if you ask moi!

Ask Americans how much $$$ per month they would sacrifice to do more on "climate change".
They did that in Germany where everybody think there must be "done something against global warming".
The result?
Most people were willing to pay about €20 per month.

In Germany it is 1.6 % (0 to 49) vs. 98.4 % (>50).
85 % of the victims were 70 or older.
64 % were 80 or older.
0.5 % were younger than 40. Most of them with previous illnesses.
 
Hang on, if humming and psychic vibrations can purify water, then surely they can purify the vaccine itself?
Why doesn't he just direct his psychic blast at the entire fridge full of vaccines at his local vaccine clinic? Or the Pfizer factory in its entirety, thereby saving millions of people?

He took the position because that's truly what he believes, not to appeal to anti-vax groups. And the reason he can't be flexible with this position is because Djokovic himself isn't flexible.

He just went through a scandal with the Aus government and got himself a 3-year ban, all while facing criticism from people and media around the world. And that's like his fifth big scandal in the past 2 years. Do you really think that if this man changes his mind and decides to get vaccinated, he will put stock into what random people have to say about it?

b) How can you make such a sweeping generalization while taking me to task for it in the very last paragraph? Anyhoo I don't buy the stock narrative that America is a conservative country. See pre-Reagan America for what it used to espouse before neoliberalism.

c) For large swaths of America guns are indeed a lifestyle, but that doesn't change the fact that the scope/meaning of the 2nd Amendment has been greatly expanded/distorted since its founding. The NRA itself didn't play such an outsize role in US politics till relatively recently.

A lot of people on the left and the right homeschool. Where did you get the idea that only the right homeschool? Those that are part of the unschooling movement and John Holt adherents are almost all on the left.

Parents are the largest determinants of school outcomes. The NJ research in the 1980s and 1990s clearly demonstrated that.

Just to be clear here; Castaner is actually saying that Djokovic will not play RG if he's not vaccinated. The way you have that translated seems to suggest the opposite of what he actually said (for those who may not be familiar, Castaner is the president of Macron's party in the National Assembly)

Australia set up a process to determine eligibility that ultimately only could adjudicate on Australian players despite 90%+ of players being from overseas. If they tell Djokovic a few months out what the requirements are, it's up to Djokovic to comply. If, on the other hand they tell him he can get in, issue a visa (if he requires one) then subsequently treat him like a criminal it's an unsatisfactory process and unfair to Djokovic.
 
Beijing Olympics athletes aren't required to be vaccinated, but they'll be in quarantine for 21 days. The CCP is banning shouting, cheering, or singing during the Olympics. A clap, don't chant policy.

he will get an exemption.

and by may, I think most of europe will have eased off on the restrictions seeing as Omicron doesnt care about Vaccines ( source: every single infection chart in every country in the world for the past 2 months)

If a player lies on his visa application, claims to have Covid 1 *month before* his test, then you cannot blame the govt. It is highly suspicious if he even got Covid to begin with. Exemptions are given to people who cannot get a vaccine due to financial hardship or being too sick to get a shot - none of that applies to him. He tried to cheat the system.

Have some honestly and admit what happened.
