I don't even think I can vote on this one. Normally I'd be picking Vaidisova in straight sets, but Safarova is playing brilliant tennis... Vaidisova in three tight sets (okay, I can vote :P).

Nicole Vaidisova [10] (CZE)
--- R1: Jill Craybas (USA) 6-4, 5-7, 6-1
--- R2: Milagros Sequera (VEN) 6-2, 6-1
--- R3: Katarina Srebotnik [21] (SLO) 6-4, 6-4
--- R4: Elena Dementieva [7] (RUS) 6-3, 6-3

Lucie Safarova (CZE)
--- R1: Alberta Brianti (ITA) 6-3, 6-1
--- R2: Francesca Schiavone [14] (ITA) 6-3, 6-3
--- R3: Anastasia Yakimova (BLR) 6-3, RET
--- R4: Amelie Mauresmo [2] (FRA) 6-4, 6-3

Head-To-Head
Vaidisova leads; 2-1
--- 2005: Roland Garros [CLAY] (R128 ) Vaidisova won 4-6, 6-0, 6-4

As much as I would like to see Safarova win ... I just don't picture it happening. Sure, she surprised everybody on Sunday morning ... but I have to give the match to Vaidisova.

Maybe next year, Lucie. (okay if she wins tomorrow then I shall eat my words).

I have seen Safarova play and I am really amazed by her game. I think we're in for a new upset with Lucie winning 2-1.

Hmmn well Safarova and Berdych had been on a double-winning streak lately, so now that the latter person has been knocked out, this may also affect Safarova's game tomorrow.

Then again, Safarova's 1 match ahead of Berdych anyway ... though her 3rd-round opponent retired ... hmmn.

Nah, I'm still going for Vaidisova.

So, the couple Tommas Berdyche and Lucie Safarova won together the round before, and lost together in this round. ;)

Hmmn wonder if either of them are superstitious? On the serious side, Safarova's shown now that she's a player to be reckoned with in a Grand Slam. She can only go uphill from here.

I think Lucie Safarova lost because she wore a hat, a necklace and ear-rings. If all tennis players were to refrain from wearing a hat and jewellery on court, then tennis would be a more exciting game to watch and participate in ;)
