Anybody heard anything on the vapor 10 coming out next summer?
I can assure you we won't see a vapor 10 in 2013
why would you want a Vapor 10 ? you have a perfection with Vapor 9. Lets hope they make vapor 9 every year for next 20 years.
Yes don't mess with a good thing. I had the Vapor 6s and they were great except for the stiff upper plastic and then they made two versions, 7 and 8, that were not as good.
Now that they got Vapor 9s almost perfect, I rather deal with durability issue as the only downside then have Nike mess things up. If they do come out with 10s, I am going to stock up on 9s.
There not coming out with vapor 10s or at least they are not making a new model. Nike will continue make the vapor 9 for next year just in different colorways.
Vapor 10 in Spring 14.
I want a Vapor 9 with the durability of Barricades. Wishful thinking.......
Yeah and I want gut with the durability of kevlar...
Really? Are you sure?
Vapor 10 and CB 5.5 fall of 2013
Don't think I saw the Vapor 10 and/or the CB 5.5 for fall 2013, have the pics right in front of me
Do you have pics of the whole line or just Fed and Rafa's line?
Also saw the catalog yday at my local shop. No plans for v10 or 5.5 in. 2013
What are your thoughts on the Fall line? I have only seen Fed's and Rafa's lines. Do the athletes crews look nice? What colours?
Like many have said I find the fall lines quite awkward. Not a fan of the new colors(lot of red) but I'll have to wait til I see them in person (most of the time it grows on me). I do however like the v9 day shoes, similar to us open 2012. I didn't get to take a chance to thoroughly look through the catalog since I was in a rush but I'll snap pics tomorrow since I have to pick up my sticks
just wish nike brings back darth federer for some time
its not going to be called the 5.3 it is going to be the lunar ballistec
Really think the vapor 10 will be a very symbolic shoes, just like nike did for the lebron 10.
Why Nike do not do the same on nike tennis shoes .. I mean about the special colorway, special release, it's a shame ...
What other colors apart from red and yellow?
Thanks in advance.
Vapor 10 will be magnific.
Even if it's worse than the Vapor 9, at least it will make the 9's go into "sell", and then I'll buy another 2 or 3 pairs.
I doubt it'll go down more than it does now, vapor 9's r usually selling out before they even go on sale... I only buy ones that go on sale and have only managed to snag 1 french opn and 1 us open pair... everything else was gone at full retain... crazy!
Why change a winning formula?
the reason you change any product is sales driven. Nike knows they'll sell more Vapor 9s if they leak that a new model is coming out. It's simple but smart marketing.
So if you found out the iPhone 6 is coming out next month that will encourage you to buy the iPhone 5 tomorrow?
I'm pretty sure Nike don't want to leak anything, which is why the forums are so strict about people uploading photos on here.
I think it's the opposite effect especially if people know a new product is about to come out in next few months, they will wait for it thus reducing sales for the current product.
I don't think you can actually improve on the Vapor 9s unless you talking about increasing durability and possible adding those awesome Michelin rubber compound from the Babolat Propulse 3s.
Nike has no excuse...none whatsoever. By now they should have been the leaders in this area.
They can certainly use better materials with the same comfortable shoe....especially on the sole? If popular nike shoes wear out quicker, they won't care, for people will just buy more regularly.
its not a matter of better materials... the vapor 9's and the courtballistec 4.3's both use the same material for their outsoles (XDR material), but the vapor 9 just has a much thinner duo layer and the courtballistec 4.3's have much thicker outsoles with reinforcements at specific parts of the shoe. Sure, nike can try to look for even more durable material than the XDR, but they'll also have to take into account traction and flexibility. Developing a new compound for outsoles is no simple task, and the XDR already does a great job in terms of durability, flexibility, traction, and heat transfter!
I only half agree.
How would you compare the CB's to the adidas B7's?
On the soles alone:
In my experience on the B6's:
- most durable shoes i've ever played with
- I'm not sure if the adidas barracade 6's team shoes use the same rubber as the top of the line B6's....but if this is the case, the team versions will be more comfortable due to a softer more flexible upper. Nike has flexible uppers...but why is their rubber so inferior to adidas? Surely the big guns should basically be equal in quality at least on the rubber?
Compared to the B7's, I think nike has better strategic placement of their rubber. The main reason I am considering them above B7 this time around. If B7 had the same protection above the toes, I would buy adidas no question. Would probably not even try on the nikes. I am forced now...
