Vapor X size to Solution Speed FF

Hi all

I usually wear Vapor X's in a UK 10 and like them, but I feel like trying the Solution Speed FF. As I can't go and try them on I'm wondering if anyone has tried both and if an Asics 10 is the same as a Nike 10?

Thanks.

Most people size down a half size in Asics from Nike as Asics shoes run a little long. I double sock so I don't have as much of a need to size down so I keep the same size (Asics Court ff2 US12 and Nike Vapor X US12) but I would suggest most folks take the half size down as I'm likely an anomaly.

the problem with shoe advice is....its almost useless as everyone has different feet. See, the speed's were 1/2 small for me.

I've noticed that before. A bit annoying.

Just to clarify, those are the sizes I have in both and also in the GR7 and GR8.
I have wide foot, high arch. All fit well.
The Speed FF2s are the most snug but still comfortable.
The Vapors are a bit long but width is ok, a bit tight at first. I always double sock.
GR8s fit the best.

I run half size or one size down for ASICS Compared to Nike. The solution speed are nice shoes. Very light and I find way more supportive than the Vapor X. However, the ASICS takes a few wears to break in. I’ve had friends that hate them because of this. They are my fav ASICS shoes so far, I have yet to try the court FF2 (djoker‘s shoes) they are in the box. Next shoes to try after my ASICS challengers wear out - which is gonna be soon :)

@JackB1 was looking for an advice for a cheaper alternative of the Gel Res.

Maybe you can help him with your impression from the Challengers.

I wouldn’t recommend the challengers. It just doesn’t feel very supportive. Both on side movement and on forefoot impact. I’m only 58kg and I still feel the gel isn’t cushioning enough. My mate went through his challengers quickly too, I think he’s 70-80kg. He had holes through his forefoot soles
