For a long time I've been playing with Blade 98 16x19. V5, V6 and V7.
Usually using 4G, 4G/Gamma TNT2 hybrid or Solinco Confidential.
For the longest time the differences seemed fairly subtle and most of this past summer been playing V7 with 4G/TNT2 Hybrid @52.
Yesterday, while hitting for fun I pulled out a Blade V6 with Confidential @50. Looking back it was strung last fall--so that might be a factor. Whereas my V7 was strung about 3 weeks ago.
I like the muted/crisper feel of the V7 4G/TNT hybrid whereas the V6 Confidential feels really pingy (even with a dampner) and live.
With the V7, felt I was hitting well but not with as much pop and depth when I switched the to the V6.
Tension difference?
Different launch angles with the different strings?
More spin from the full poly allowing me to cut at it more and get it in?
If I want to get the best of both worlds what would be the first step--full 4G poly? Hybrid confidential?
