Hi! Does anyone have insights on how the two models compare with each other? I was thinking about picking up an Aero 98 or a Vcore 98 23, but then found a couple of new Vcore 98 2021 racquets for a decent price. Anyone prefer the older 2021 model?

the older model is still very good and has 16x19 that is slightly tighter. that gives you slightly more control and less launch angle.
the 2023 is softer/flexy vs the 2021. if you like stiff (b/c i see you looking at babolat aero) than the older one might be a better fit

nishioka and tommy paul each have different drill patterns even though they both use a 16x19 vcore98. (tommy's is more open like the current gen)

Older one has some flutter on hits high on the racquet face. The new one, although more comfortable due to the lower overall ra has a firmer head which has eliminated the flutter issue; it's more comfortable, more powerful & stable - especially on those higher hits - & produces slightly more spin. IMO the '23 is one of the few times that an update is really worth the extra $$.

Used the 19, 21 vcores then 23 wrecked my elbow proper after one month of switching. I saw one on the weekend at the stringers, that head shape is just too much.

Vcore 98 robs power at the higher end for me. If swinging all out my Ezone can put more pace on the ball than the Vcore 98.

At regular rally power levels they’re similar in power maybe even Vcore 98 beats it. It just taps out on the high end unfortunately. I think that low RA shows its true colors.
