VCore Tour F

Well one thing IIRC is that they were supposed to put more emphasis on spin and yet they are going the other way that everyone else - making a frame with more cross strings.

While I have yet to try their new grommet system when it comes to spin I will always take a more open string pattern over any grommet techs.

I can vouch for sixone90's statement. Both headsizes have a 16x21 pattern. The VCore Tour F 93's headsize is more like a 95 instead of a 93.

Stiffness, weight and balance for 97?

I'm guess this will be a "sportier" version of current VCT (like "Type F" in Japanese auto naming...)

ugh why

It is a 16x21 pattern

Weight is 11.9 strung including overgrip and dampener. Similar weight to the tour g 310. The frame plays bigger than a 93. More like a 95. I know that is splitting hairs...
Very solid frame, faster than the G. You will have to wait for the rest when reviews come out.

Does it feel stiff playing or more on the softer side like Tour G? If a 11.9oz frame performs "solid" that sounds like it's a stiff racquet.

I have not had the chance to hit the tour g unfortunately. I plan on hitting it this weekend to compare. My guess is the F will be slightly firmer. I don't have a RA machine handy, but it feels like it is in the 63-65 range. Firmer than a blade, more flex than a pure strike. Softer than a Vcore.

TinTin1, please let us know how it plays. Should be a nice frame I think given the specs you said. There are very few mids left in the market now so high hopes on this one.

I have been told that there should be a Yonex press conference launching this product sometime this week.

Fingers crossed!

You are correct. Spec and new technologies sheets just went out for the Tour F today. And no I do not work for Yonex :) but I do enjoy their quality frames. I really like the 93f . It proved to me that you still can be effective playing a midsize frame. I think it is one of the best midsize frames I have tried in years. Better feel than Donnay gold 94, bigger sweet spot than a Wilson PS 90. Upper hoop is still playable and not dead. For a 16/21 pattern it was surprisingly easy to string.

I saw a Japanese blog and it says both weight is 310gram (97 has also 290ver.) Is it right ? And what color?

You are correct. The 97 has a lighter version as well. Matte black and dark orange accents. I looks awesome.
