l love Tour bite on my old Ezone100 (55lbs)
But on my Vcore98 (54lbs) feels super stiff and low powered
I tried Head Linx Tour and I hated it .. was over powered and even at 56lbs felt like a trampoline freshly strung
What string should I put on my vcore98?
- Hyper g?
- Confidential?
What tension?

Another vote for lower tensions. I string mine with Hyper G 17 mains and Hyper G Round 17 crosses in the mid-40s. The lower tension accentuates the need to hit with spin with this racket, though.

Here's the string jobs that I have found work well in the VCore 98.

1. Full bed Yonex Poly Tour Pro #50 <-- Soft feel and great all around
2. Full bed Yonex Poly Tour Rev #48 <-- Firmer feel and more spin
3. M - Yonex PTP #50 C - Tecnifibre NRG2 #54 <-- This hybrid is great for doubles that gives great punch on vollies

Lynx Tour feels like a trampoline because either the stringer didn't pull correct tension, or the tension is too high and your racquet head speed is not fast enough to create pocketing. Pick any of the above control strings and drop the tension to 50 lbs, see how it feels and adjust from there.

Echoing the the last few posts here... I've played quite a bit with Poly Tour Rev, Confidential, and Lynx Tour (Champagne) in the 23Vcore 98 Tour and enjoy them all. I usually string everything at 48 pounds. I'm not picky enough to have a favorite of these 3 but I really dont have any complaints about any of them. I just recently tried M8, and while the feel is different, it also plays exceptionally well.

volkl v square - you get that exra topspin control which lands deep constantly, find the v suare better than hyper g - due to hyer g has a tad more noticebale power and becomes trampoliny over time, v square is more consistant string

I'm playing with the 2021 VCore 98. Currently enjoying a full bed of Grapplesnake Tour Sniper at 48/48.

I like the crisp feel of Super Toro & snap back with Wasabi x. It is a little stiff, so you could go with Toro Toro if you want a more comfortable set up. I also just got some of the new O-Toro strings to try. I love the control & spin I get with these strings. I get about 12-15 hours out of these strings.
