“It’s not easy but I’m trying to focus on tennis and my next match.”

She was asked if she had spoken to any of the parties involved, and reportedly delayed before answering: “I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to Kyrgios. But it’s a very disappointing thing to be happening in our sport and I hope it won’t happen again because it’s not a very good image for our sport.”

hard to believe so many here support that tool, Kyrgios...of course, they would have nothing to say to this young woman to her face

just like they'd have nothing to say to Rafa and Fed and Novak to theirs...I guess Nick is now their Thug wannabe on court

Agree completely.
One would think he'd be out on his own - but not on here.

Although the burning question that seemingly wasn't asked, is, was the Kyrgios comment true? Did she really sleep with "The Kokk?"

He is one of the only hopes to save tennis from 2-3 more years of Djokovic/Murray snoozer finals.

that was an awful final on Sunday, not a lot of great shot-making, good explosive movement, clutch serving and returning, competitiveness, and intensity

just think if Neopolitan Nick had been there..."Hey Canada", who's bangin' your women"?....cheers from the masses here, the minority of the tennis world

No it's not. It calls in to question Kyrgios's credibility. If he's just a liar, then the has no credibility. But if there's truth to it, at least his credibility isn't in question. He's still a ****** either way.
Kyrgios has no integrity. That's the key word in this matter.
Nobody cares who she slept with.

I wonder how long it will take for everybody to realise that the only person Kyrgios' comment says something about is himself. It says nothing about Vekic, Kokkinakis and definitely not Stan. It only shows that Kyrgios at the moment is a major tool (even more so than we initially thought). Considering that, it's amazing how much it still interests people...

Did she have a conversation with Federer before this question?

I find the ATP procedures interesting. I also find it interesting people's opinions on both what they think the ATP can do and what it should do in this case. And I further find it interesting how casual some people are with suspending a player from his job. I guess I find the whole situation interesting. So shoot me.

I love it when people give the journos just enough to make them question themselves on whether they actually received a proper response or not, and then leave it at that:p

@Minion There's a superlative in my country (Bulgaria) that has a slightly different meaning depending on whom you ask. It's a little vulgar but I will try to leave it as abstract as possible. The superlative relates to the visible remainder after both the wife and the lover "handle it". Like I said, it's quite vulgar. :)

hahaha, the brother is even worse. Like Djoko's parents 7-8 years ago, making everything worse

It's in the OP, but here's the central part:

Christos also appeared on Triple M’s The Grill Team program last but was dumped mid-interview after allegedly saying that Donna Vekic, liked “Kokk”.

“If you’re going to come and openly … it’s not even sledging, that’s openly slandering someone after a match then I guess you can expect a bit of sledging back when you play them next,” Christos said on the show.

Grill Team host Matty Johns responded by saying: “I understand that Christos. The difference here is he’s dragged innocent parties into it. He’s dragged young Kokkinakis into it and more to the point, Donna Vekic …”

At this point, the plug was pulled on the interview and the line went dead.

“Sorry, we’ve just had to dump Christos. He said something pretty crook,” co-host Chris Page said.

It was later revealed that Christos had said Ms Vekic “likes Kokk”. When pressed on it later, he was adamant he was referring to the player and nothing sinister.

But in the aftermath, the older Kyrgios vented on his Facebook page writing: “So just did a media interview for Nick. Said Donna obviously loved the ‘kokk’ they cut my interview and said it’s the worst thing they have ever heard on air. Ah cheers.”

Christos continued with some tough talk about Wawrinka, who he claims had a physical altercation with Kyrgios in the locker room after the game.

The ***** is lucky I wasn’t there or he would have been withdrawing from the next few tournaments,” Christos wrote. “He put his hands on Nick — grabbed him and said a whole bunch of abusive s***. I’ve studied law and that s*** is abuse bro. Lucky we aren’t pressing charges.”

Sorry - I meant link to Djok's parents comments in the past

Ah, I don't have that - just remember a lot of controversy around the AO 2008 with 'the king is dead, the king is alive' and that, iirc, Djokovic eventually had to shut them down a bit at different tournaments after that.

What's a chav?

No, the fact that it may be true makes Kyrgios far worse. That he'd use sensitive information like that in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage is far worse than a "your mama" or "your girlfriend" trash talk which has zero substance.

How long Vekic was in tour? 4 years? She must have countless short term relationship. Imagine Stan these days. He is looking locker rooms with full of young men and ask himself "did this guy bang my gf? or that guy".

No US Open for Stan the poor man that's for sure. No man can cope with that.

lol Im pretty sure its quite the opposite. in the last 2 years he has split with his wife and been immensely more successful on court. he's probably been on a roll banging left right and center. If anything, its the other guys in the locker room who should be worried about whether their girlfriends and wives have found out why they call him 'stan the man'.

ya no I seriously doubt that if mirka calls him a cryaby.
Anyway she is not denying that she did bang Kokk but It sounds more and more she did It while dating stan the man.

You mean unlike those anti-NK supporters, posting stuff like "I'd bang her" ... ?

Nobody, as far as I can read, stands behind NK's comment. You're just setting up strawmen.
Some like him, some don't.

I don't understand the possessive and jealous tendency in macho men. Past is past.
What Kyrgios said was wrong and also logically RIDICULOUS. Because Stan also had sex with other woman before Donna including his ex wife. Imagine a female on WTA tour saying 'His ex-wife banged Wawrinka' to Vekic. Wouldn't that be ridiculous?
