I'm putting my money on a Roddick versus Blake French Open final.
Yikes!
To the OP, no, Federer won't make it to the final.

It is not much better and it is significantly worse in the clay tournaments that have been played so far (didn't play Estoril, lost early in Monte-Carlo).Is Federer's year up until now any worse than last year's? He made the final last year as I recall.

How can you say that after just one tournament :-?
She said "so far". Read properly please...
It will depend on the draw. If Djokovic ends up in Nadal's half for the fourth year in a row, than yes, Federer might make it to the FO final.
I'm assuming that Murray will?
I disagree. Federer has the tools to beat any of these guys (except Nadal) at the French Open. He can also be beaten by any of them if he doesn't bring his best game to the match. It depends more on how Federer plays than who he draws.
sorry but its not necessary Novak will beat Roger..I'm not saying he cannot. But he has a few things to sort out himself and topping the list is his stamina and conditioning. He's getting better but there's still a lot of work to be done in that department. That said,he beat Roger in Miami so it might give him slight edge mentally.Federer 2006 yes, Federer 2009 no.
However, Federer 2009 can still make it to the FO final if he gets a lucky draw, especially if Djokovic ends up, yet again, in Nadal's half.

There is no other possibility!
Fed ALWAYS lifts his game when it comes to SLAMS.
Even if he faces MURRAY in the SEMIS he WILL BEAT him!!
Believe it.
b4 everyone goes nuts i ain't a fed fan just stating reality!!!!!
Agreed. That's why it's much more exciting to go out on a limb and make a much bolder prediction like I did:You're simply stating the obvious. Doesn't take much to make this prediction.

LOL, it would be funny if that happens. And it sure is quite possible. Kinda like how everyone was massaging Murray's testicles before the AO and he goes down before the quarters. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Although I wouldn't mind seeing something different this year.
Second that. If Djokovic winds up in Nadal's draw I think Djokovic should go kill someone. As now DJoker is 3 and Fed is 2. 2 and 3 were always meeting so what would be the excuse now.
They don't do that anymore. After 1 and 2, they flip a coin to see who goes to what section. So they say, but don't take their words for it.
Yes, like fed beating nadal.
I say not even SEMI final.
However, playing best of 5 gives Fed the advantage...against most of the oponents that could take him in 2 or 3.

What I meant about Estoril and Monte-Carlo is that last year at this time he had won a 250 tournament on clay and made the final of a master whereas at the same time this year he has won nothing and lost before the quarter in the master, sorry but if that's not much worse than last year, then what is?How can you refer to a tournament that Federer, and most top players, didn't even play while also implying that not going to said tournament reflects upon his on-court performance?
As for Monte Carlo, it's one tournament. To conclude "significantly worse" is a stretch considering he hadn't even planned on playing there. By that standard, Federer's hard court results this year were "significantly better" than last year, so your point is moot, whatever it was.

If you're right then we are all going to suffer yet another snooze fest like last year's final. I'm sick of Federer/Nadal matches quite honstly. It's always the same pattern. I would rather a new guy would get to the final (not a top seed).
