Venus- racquet, string ???

My daughter demo'd an H4 and I demo'd and H6 last fall. I was suprised at the open string pattern they had. After studying some pic at a Wimbledon Web Site, I noticed that Venus and Serena's racquets were 20x19 (not 16x20 like we were demoing) with a tight pattern in the middle.

I eMail'd Wilson about it and they said that Venus and Serena really use the H4 and H6, but they get them un-drilled so they can midify the pattern and modify the weight.

That's not true. I saw Venus practicing with some old 6.2s a while back. Look at the beam....it's by no means an H4....it's a Wilson 6.2 Stretch oversize. She strings her racquets tight like in the 70s. One thing, I'm more concerned about her. She had match points today and should have won serving 5-3 in the final set. I guess Venus needs a few more matches to get back into stride.

Okay . . . I'm holding an h4 in my hand . . . No noticible difference in the beam . . . Oh well - Does really matter, But I would wish they'd stop lying to the masses. . . as far as Venus; I've never seen a pro so out of balance. She is big time compensating from hurting from the neck down. She had better take it easy until June. But then again, has she been the same since the 2002 French ? I do like her and Serena's attitides. They seem genuinely grateful for everything they have earned, besides raising the game to a new level.
