Federer said: "I must say, I'm impressed." http://www.supersport.com/tennis/atp/news/121112/Djokovic_treats_media_with_chocolates_after_win
this only proves that Nole's people in charge of PR are very talented.
Does it seem natural? Yes! of course, the guy seems awesome and all
"Hi, I'm Nole! I'm #1 and I'm pretty a cool dude. Please buy my stuff"
Nothing you see on the tube is innocent, there is always something behind it...
I can't believe that journalists will grovel for one chocolate. I used to work in a large hospital, as a nurse. At Christmas time the chief executive would make a tour of the hospital armed with a tin of chocolates, from which staff would be allowed to take one. I have to say I never took up the offer. Anyway the chocolates were probably in the bag of goodies presented to him and his poodle, by the Atp.
nice gesture eh? a nice PR stunt for sure.
if Nole have thought of this by himself then yes it's a nice gesture.
While it's a nice gesture, it was a little ham-fisted imo. Someone of his calibre/standing/resources should have at least put some effort in - not just send someone to the nearest dairy to buy a box of chocolates.
I think Serbia is a pretty cool guy. Eh give amazing chocolate and doesn't afraid of anything.
two boxes of chocolates actually
and Bah Humbug to you
Novak should do something original. Chocolates are a Swiss idea.
Probably he got Fed's approval.
Maybe after this gesture, reporters told him:" Nole, stop this crap, give us some BEER!"
Listen up, your hero Novak Djokovic could live 10 tennis lives and not even be half as popular globally as Roger Federer. Now stop being a bitter fan and face facts. Mr Serbia can give all of the chocolates he wants to journalists after being over two hours late, it won't change the fact that Federer is more beloved by fans and journalists.
It's a testament to his families background - he loves candy because his parents owned a business around food.
I was looking for this. Thanks for posting. Great gesture by Novak.
I'm all for helping out the starving media in London.
Shame on Novak trying to make Journalists gain more weight.
Though nice of Novak to treat Journalists for their hard work.
The replies on this thread is lolz...Gotta hand it to Nole and *******s.
Wow, that IS an incredibly nice gesture.
Now I'm hungry.
till Clarky21 says something dumb about the world 1.
Ha ha is Nole trying to bribe the press into talking nicely about him? Smooth. I've always thought he was a bright guy
Seriously, he's very generous with his fans too . You should post the video of him greeting his fans at the Shanghai airport (or Beijing, not sure which). Impressive.
Novak "Monte Carlo" Djokovic wishes he could make as much money as the stuck up swiss...
At least federer pays taxes to his home country. Novak just moved to monaco because of the beautiful view. LOL.
Federer has bought drinks for the reporters and journalists several times in the past. Do a little research, you will see...
In any case, most of these are self serving stunts from both djokovic and federer.
Lindt just announced they're pulling the plug on Roger's sponsorship
What kind of chocolate was this, btw?
Was it candy or chocolate???
Great guy, great sportsman.
He's wonderful for tennis - love him.
I like Nole, he is a nice guy! ;/). Did you all hear that Nole offered tickets to fans to watch him at the 02?
If it's not Lindt Dark Chili you can have it back.
Sounds like nothing more than sucking up to me. Besides that,I wouldn't eat a thing this guy gave me no matter how many times it had been inspected.
Sorry,I have had Dudeski on ignore for an eternity. I don't converse with bullies, and that's all he is. He is also a stalker, and stalks my posts around attempting to bully me. Too bad quoted posts from people on my ignore list show up. Definitely need a fix for that.
Every tennis player tries to look good for the press these days, though.
I hate being so cynical, and I'm not saying anything about Djoke, but these guys have to be nice, or they get killed in the media and fans.
Today Djoke spoke real nice about Fed, I thought "What does he really think, he HAS to say this or everyone will hate him". So I don't take what they say too serious, like that one guy said "they have great PR people".
Nadal keeps saying "Fed is better", does he really believe this or does he want to say "I am better than a legend most tennis fans adore".
It's just that everyone these days gets so offended, every day, about everything. Look at the posters on this forum, someone says something and they are jumped on, amazing how much confidence guys have behind computers. A guy starts a thread "How do I improve my forehand", watch, three posts down you have guys attacking each other. Oh well.....
I'm guessing all the journalists who wrote negative things about him this year are waking up with food poisoning then?
Nah, it was a nice, small gesture. Nothing huge and over the top, he did it right imo.
Most people are stupid. There is plenty of evidence to prove it (for example in German federal election, July 1932 most people voted for nazis and communists).
And this post wins the award of the most stupid post ever!
he is so annoying...
dont just stand there, be a smartie..come and join the n@zi party
(sings), springtime for hitler and germany..winter for poland and france.
Oh come on people, yes maybe it was a cheap PR stunt, but I thought it was nice. You don't see this with any other player. Djokovic brings something light hearted and fresh to the game. Anyway, this was a nice gesture and it makes me feel warm inside.
come on, Novak, should it be Cevapcici instead of ordinary chocolate
Didn't 1500 journalists attend Fed's press conference at the olympics? Only 50 attended Nole's I think. Anyway nice move, he desperately wants to be loved.
Why? Provide argument.
Have you got proof it was PR stunt?
LOL @ number 1 troll around here using word bully to get sympathy. So predictable is this predictable troll.
This is all it boils down to.
Have you got proof it was PR stunt?
I dunno if this has been mentioned but the gesture makes sense as a subtle way to get even for Roger taking Novak's chair in the final match (see other thread for more info on that). Roger is the one with the endorsement for Swiss chocolate. You take my chair I take your chocolate.
I agree completely agree.
Underneath it all what kind of person is Novak?
Except Novak did the chocolate thing the day before the final...
He's done that at almost every venue at some point
Wow! Novak is a star!
Don't worry. There won't be any free gifts coming your way from anyone. People who project a positive energy attract similar type people into their lives. There is no way you would ever cross paths with someone displaying even an ounce of positive energy.
Wow! You don't see many athletes/celebrities do that for the press. Still think it was nice-regardless of the motive.
Then Federer did the sit in seat thing for revenge.
Have you got proof it was PR stunt?
PS This is the last time I asked you this question. If you do not provide proof, I will conclude that you lost the argument as I claim it was not PR stunt.
