Vibration from Aeropro Drive w/ cortex

lidation

Rookie
I have a Pure Drive Roddick Cortex and an Aeropro Drive w/o Cortex. These days I have been hitting with the Aeropro Drive w/o Cortex and I noticed that in the normal direction of the racquet face the racquet is very flexible. And there is vibration fluttering back and forth through the whole racquet after each shot. I don't notice that in my Pure Drive Roddick Cortex.

Is this vibration caused by the lack of no-Cortex or by the Aeropro beam design (Aero beam is flat and the Pure Drive beam is round)?

cortex system is designed to eliminate the bad vibrations, not create them.

u dont make sense in ur first paragraph. clarify the racquet with the vibes and the one w/o the vibes

Are you speaking of the w/o cortex? I think its almost normal about the vibrations in the w/o cortex frame. I have a rubberband as a dampener on mine...works very well. The racquet w/cortex works even better with a rubberband also..and to me..more powerful racquet.

Oops! I was typing the thread late last night so... Now it's fixed. I have more vibration in the non-cortex racquet. But I would like to know whether the vibration was contributed to the non-cortex racquet or more to the aerobeam design, which is flat when you look from the normal direction of the racquet face.

I believe it has to do with the racquet...I hit with the aerostorm and that racquet didn't have any vibrations...

How long have you had it?
I know some who had the APD(no cortex) for about a year, until it became really really flexible. You would bounce the ball on the racquet, and you could basically see it bending.
Then again, it could be a one-off.

APDC is vibration free -- to the degree of almost being numb. Takes some getting used to but once you do it is an excellent all-court stick.

what? That's so false. The ridiculous amount of vibrations that come from the APDC (without a damp) is unbearable.

The ping, and vrum vrum vrum of the entire frame is immense.

I recommend some samps, babolat damps, or wilson smileys.

Like Sly said, "different strokes for different folks". One of the reasons I am playing the APDC less and less is the *numbness factor*. As much as I really love most aspects of this racquet, the Cortex system over dampens it for me, which is why I play it with X-1 to make it more crisp and give it a bit more life. I still think the APDC is a really good all-court tool, but the "detached" feel bothers me at times. The TF's seem to be getting it right for me right now. Much firmer feel and direct connection.
