4.5 USTA, probably not.
unfortunately usta ranks all your strokes, not just your slap forehand.
Really guys? That is very nice forehand technique. Definitely looks like the tool of a strong 4.5 player. We don't know what the rest of the game looks like, but if he has sound mental/tactical game, the serve and BH would have to be a long ways behind for him to drop below a 4.5.
I don't know what the goal of the video is, but it certainly doesn't throw a red flag against a claim of 4.5.
I think it's a good forehand. Great racket speed and racket path. Footwork and loading and balance are very nice also. Even a few reverse forehands to deal with the quickness of the multipurpose surface.
footwork alone is much higher than 4.5
I would take a video that 1) Shows more than just your FH and 2) Is shot horizontally.
Well, no 3.0, 3.5, and few 4.0's hit and move like dat.....
So....what was your question?
You're already more than half-way through to 7.0, so keep working on your game.
Thanks, http://telly.com/MSP3S heres another video of just warming up so not much feet movement but it shows groundstrokes. I think I could possible be a low 5.0 but i dont really want to say much on here because people are mean
Thanks - next time you film, can you turn the cam 90 degrees or something? Both vids are showing (on my screen, at least) a narrow vertical strip in the middle of a wide empty dark horizontal screen.
Also, in the first vid you look black and in the second vid you look white. Not to be mean, but are you the same person as yourself?
haha thats funny, ya both those videos are me, and i am white. The first one was in a dome and it was really dark. and ill have a new video of everything soon but ill make sure to get better views
In this forum Roger Federer would be 3.5 if he cover his face.
Base on that forehand i am convinced that you are 4.5 or higher.
Im not sure what you meant about fed, but thank you anyway haha
Sorry, got it. You go ahead and make a quality video, post it in the tips/instructions subforums, and then enjoy the comments - lazy feet, no backhand, 3.0 at best, quit tennis now, etc - it's going to be a great journey for you...
If Fred got his face wrapped with duct tape, he'd be a solid 6.5 owned by 7.0 Nadal.
Oh ya, people are very mean on here. Thats why I always question myself when I post
Well, it’s a jungle out there in the real world, as you may have heard from people you trust. Perhaps this forum is an opportunity to get a glimpse of the jungle relatively risk-free.
Wasn't there a thread where a guy post a video of pros hitting and people call them 3.5?
Yeah, Bud called a 7.0 a 4.5.
looks like he is playing ping pong.
But in saying that, he could be a 4.5.
ye, good luck young man
that exaggerated finish is a bit funky, but i'm sure it will become smoother over time..
