Andy really really needs to get his ranking up so as to avoid meeting top players in early rounds but it's a vicious circle for him. He can't get his ranking up until he starts going deep in tournaments which meeting top players in the early rounds makes it very hard for him to do (as we are seeing).

Those damned Antwerp points from 2 years ago only just coming off certainly hasn't helped. As I said before maybe he should focus on doing more Challengers which should give him a chance to win more matches and gain ranking points more easily!
