Views on Solinco Outlast?

Although there are many threads about the Tour Bite and Revolution strings from Solinco, there aren't too many people posting about the budget string, Solinco Outlast.

Specifically, is it good for the price? is the durability good for the price? and lastly, is there any other string you would recommend for the same price? (I'm looking for reels)
Any response from those who have used it appreciated.

Ok I guess that Outlast is not as popular as Tour Bite, though it would be nice to hear from somebody who has used it.
Anyway, are there any suggestions for polys in the ~$100 for a reel range? (Outlast is $109)

I particularly liked the Genesis Typhoon. I have only done a hybrid with forten sweet on the crosses but MAN does it retain tension well. I am a frequent string breaker and it has lasted me a little over 2 weeks on a TW demo of the 4d 100 and I returned it with that setup on there. You can get a reel for about $118 but I suggest trying out a set first. Unfortunately I have only been able to find one size and thats the 15L I believe. The blue color looks sick btw

I have hit with the outlast in the past and found it to be a very durable co-poly string which was def softer than either the tour bite or revolution. Another major difference is the fact that it is round in shape as opposed to being textured/shaped with edges like the tb and revolution. It is def great value for those on a budget. The outlast has def been overshadowed by solincos other strings

Thanks, 408tennisguy & genius24. Have already ordered a reel of outlast, and its on its way.
Genius24, can you quantify very durable? I am more of a rec player, playing for a few hours a week. I wait for my strings to break before restringing, which happens around a couple of weeks with polys. Therefore, when I read that some polys go dead after some hours of play, durability is important for me.
Currently I am using Babolat Duralast as mains in a hybrid. Since reviews of that are overwhelmingly negative, I thought I would try something new

I have used it and it is one of the softest polys I have tried. I still prefer the tourbite but the outlast was a close second.

i would say i got 10+ hours of play and the strings did not break or start feeling dead.

you plan on using the outlast in the mains right?

I've tried out the Outlast and it is probably one of the softest copoly that I have tried. It has amazing feel for a poly and pretty durable. The strings lasted for a good amount of time. Durable as any other poly out there.

@genius That's right, poly in the mains. Was using a synthetic in the crosses to soften the string bed. Though since the Outlast seems to be relatively soft, I should probably try a full bed of it to see how it feels.

I personally prefer a bit stiffer string and like the Tour Bite better than the Outlast, but i've been stringing this stuff up for the past 2 months for some of my players that like softer co-polys (and i'm sure some that just like the red color!)....

For the price and overall play/feel of the string its great

yeah, since the outlast is such a soft poly, it may work for you in a full bed....
