But can't suffer any loss in arm comfort.
While I can't comment on the VFeel or V Sense versions of the 7, the SG and Organix 7 295g ( lime green) are very powerful frames. They have a 104 head and very thick beam and 74-73 RA.
The 6 is a much lighter frame around 275g and 100sq inch and the current V Feel has an RA of around 70, but I would say it's more of a frame for an intermediate junior or petite women. It won't be as powerful as the 7 but it's very easy to use.
As for arm safety I wouldn't use any of these. The problem with the current extremes is the SW and balance is very head heavy and that's going to affect your arm.
The SG 7 plays comfortable with groundstrokes but once you start serving with it your arm will feel it.
If you want arm comfort but still retain some power then my pick with Volkl would either be the Organix V1 Pro or SG variant, a current model V1 Classic, with weight added or even try the V feel 4 which is very comfortable for its stiffness and mass.

I hit with the V1 pro tonight. It is a good solid racquet. The balls were crisp. The thing was like a rocket launcher. I was hitting screamers about 4” over the net. There was no arm pain though. I did wish it had more dwell time on the strings though. It was hard to get on top of.

Thanks, confirms the reading I've done on the 6/7.
Although I'd hardly call Laura Siegmund petite:) she leads up whatever she uses and cracks it hard. She's reported as using a 6?!.
I'm liking my V Sense 8 with gut poly.
16x18 patterns just seem to suit me.
I have Classic and Organix V1's in the wings if needed..

Partly fuelled by this thread I restrung the V1 Organix. Klip Legend Mains, Prince Control crosses. It plays very nicely.
Had to be the kindest on my arm of ALL the many racquets I've tried.. I have it at 362g 9 it's head light. Plenty of power but the tight pattern has enough control..

I'm going to try Ashaway Monogut ZX in my V1 classic as wet court (clay) racquet.
I've never tried it before. Hoping for good things.
Will pre-stretch, won't skimp on the tension..

Let us know how that set up works out. I have been thinking of trying the Monogut ZX but I have not know anyone that had put it into their V1. I enjoy playing with the V1 with gut mains and a couple of different crosses over the years.

I think I am going to stick with the V Sense 8.
Any recommendations for an arm friendly string or gut?

I bought a V-feel 10 320 and have been extremely disappointed with it. I currently use BB Melbourne and have been since 2012. I am a 59 year old 4.0 all court player, mostly singles, some dubs. Besides the Melbourne, my go to frames in the past have been Dunlop 200G MW and Aerogel models, Yonex RD 002 tour and PK Redondo 98. The Melbourne frame is crisp, solid, arm friendly and predictable. I have 3 I rotate, but they are starting to lose their punch and I was hoping Volkl would have something similar , since Volkl made Becker frames. I need a shoulder friendly frame. The difference in feel is amazing. The V-feel feels cheap and "Plastic". On paper the specs look good and it fells good in hand, but it is very low powered for a 16 x 19, has no plow through at all and the balls dont come off the string bed with any consistency. I have strung it with a full mulit at 54# and a Poly hybrid at 50# and after 30 minutes I had to put it down because I was spraying so many balls. I let my double partner try it out as well and he had the same reaction. Is anyone using this frame with any success and if so, what string set up/ weighting are you using?

I've first tried a full bed of Ashaway Monogut ZX at 58lbs.
Pre-stretch of 30secs release and pull again / clamp off - took a while to string..
This was as suggested by some on an old ZX thread on here.
Perhaps it's too much Pre-stretch?
I don't know

Regardless it dropped 8lbs in one day before hit and a further 7lb after hit (according to racquet tune).
This quite a drop! Others have said this is usual even with pre-stretch.

No problem stringing it. Some had reported snapping at grommets..

Play was rather disappointing.
I did not find it powerful at all!
Not compared to full gut or gut / Prince Premier Control (PPC) or Gut/poly hybrids I've used.
Less power than my favourite wet set up of Prince Premier Touch (PPT) mains and PPC crosses.
It felt rather stiff and lacked feel as well!
Things did not improve during the session either.
It was arm friendly and I didn't detect any hint of a feeling I might get problems with it.

So not for me, full bed anyway.

I will now try it only in the mains with PPT as a cross.
TW play test suggested PPT as a good cross string. I've this used it only as a main to mimic natural gut as Prince say it is similar in construction ethos.. it is pretty powerful indeed..

Even if this does not work I will try ZX mains and PPC crosses too.

Finally I will try it as a cross to natural gut and to PPT mains for wet use. It feels quite slick like a poly (has similar friction Co.) but it does dent, poly does not much at all..

If I don't like any these variants I'm done with it[emoji20][emoji849]

It's the way the V feel 10 320 is balanced is what makes it feel erratic compared to the Melbourne. The Melbourne is traditionally weighted and is a precise, smooth stick.

I am sorry to say that Volkl has lost their way over the last few years! I loved the C10-Pro and Becker Delta Core London! The Melbourne is also a spectacular stick!! Volkl moved away from making flexy buttery racquets!! I just purchased the new Wilson Blade 16 x 19 v7. It’s a scalpel, buttery and flexy, loaded with precision as well as a nice balance of power and control. Really nice swing weight out of the box in the high 320’s-330!! I highly recommend it since you are 4.0 player!! Even the 18 x 20 version is plush if you want more control!!

Lots of Volkl fans are saying this. I'm just wondering who at Volkl is in charge of their R & D department?
It's quite strange that for all those years when the other companies were making stiff and harsh racquets, Volkl stayed flexy and soft. I can remember one of their slogans was, " You can feel the difference ", back when they had their classic series and catapult racquets. The Cat 10 was conceptually kind like what Wilson seem to think they just invented now in 2019 ( Clash).
Off course Companies like Babolat had huge success with their Pure And Aero Drive frames so many others tried to copy them but did not really take enough sales away. This was until Yonex worked out with their DR 98 that you good design a comfortable frame that was still powerful and spin friendly and those with arm issues saw this as an alternative.
So we now get to 2019 and many companies are starting to make comfortable, flexible frames and then what does a Volkl do with their V Feel range, go the other way and produce stiff frames.
Surely they need to do a rethink. I like some of you may be wrong, maybe the 8 series is doing well as I don't have access to sales figures. One thing I have not heard anyone talk about the V a Feel 9 with its 73ra.

I agree that Volkl R & D department needs to get to the drawing board on the racquets they are manufacturing!! Now that they are making these ultra stiff frames their sales have dropped dramatically!! I don’t understand why Volkl would want to change something that has worked for years?? Volkl had that solid reputation for making the flexy buttery frames that players really enjoyed!!

I am sure you noticed that the trend suddenly turned to a lot of racquet manufacturers making more flexible frames. Prince started the trend a few years ago and now Wilson has began to go that flexy route with the Clash and Blade! Not sure I buy into the Clash truly being flexible with wide beam. Prince has done some nice things with Phantom line. I just found too much vibration with the Phantoms except maybe for the ported version.

More players than ever are having arm problems! Between the very stiff frames and those poly strings! A bad combo over the long haul! I grew up playing around 1990 and always played with a thin beam that was flexible! Head Prestige Classic, Head Classic Midplus, Wilson Pro Staff, 6.0, 6.1 and the stretch version. The C10 Pro is an old time great, hefty swing weight with flexible feel along with plow that gave you some serious pop! Sorry to ramble but I am truly disappointed that Volkl doesn’t make one flexible frame these days for players who have arm problems besides the C10 Pro which is now made stiffer.

Only slight concern is the mains don't snapback anything like PPT/PPC, or the other way around, hybrids.
Because of this my money is still on ZX as a cross or PPC/PPT.
We'll see.

Any recommendations for an arm friendly string or gut?
When my arm is good I like this racquet, somewhat leaded up.
I like Wilson Nat Gut mains at 58lb and a slick poly cross at
54lb. Last one used was Pros pro Red Devil.
For wet court use Prince Premier Touch mains and Prince Premier Control crosses at 55lb.
Although next time I'll try PPC mains and PPT crosses.

I'm messing with Ashaway Monogut ZX too..

Bad arm racquet is V1 Organix / Classic

speedysteve

So, V1 classic with Ashaway Monogut ZX mains and Prince Premier Touch crosses was much, much nicer than full bed of ZX!
Very arm friendly.
Much better feel and touch than full bed of ZX!
Still somewhat under powered for me in the V1 classic.
I'm used to Gut/poly or Gut/Prince Premier Control which is more powerful.
Maybe I'm imagining it but I fancy the V1 Organix has more power than the Classic (can anyone confirm that?).

Next up in going to try Gut mains and ZX Crosses in one of my V sense 8s and Prince Premier Touch mains with ZX Crosses in the other, if I like the Gut/ZX set up..

Hopefully this will let me dump poly crosses for good as I shouldn't be dabbling with it really, and give me my forever dry and wet set up [emoji7]
Never a dull moment!

Played really well in windy conditions.
Plenty of power and still getting the ball in.

This string gives you great power effects with kept control and feels soft to your body. Recommended for juniors and senior players, due to its kindness to your arm and body.
Robin's recommended tension: 49 - 55 lbs

Robin Söderling RS New York
The RS New York is in our opinion as close as you can come a NATURAL GUT string in terms of feel and we think that Robin has developed the worlds best multifilament string.
It is finally here! The ultimate multifilament string developed by Robin Söderling together with Japanese engineers.

We also recommend you to use this string in a hybrid string bed. It gives the ultimate soft feel with great touch and spin potential.

Play with Natural Gut feel but spend less money on it!

Interesting eh? The New York multi might be on my test list soon..

- PK Q's, Ki's, Redondos

- Völkl C10 Pro, V1 Classic MP, V1 Organix MP, V Sense 8

The most arm friendly solid frame in today's wet weather, heavy ball, clay play was...

The Völkl V1 Organix Pro!

Weighted to 9 PTS head light and 355g.
Needed 20g under the upper grip to achieve this.
It's not that head light in stock form.
Having a one handed BH has the advantage the upper part of the grip can have test lead under the overgrip.

It was so solid, great plough, able to hit a big top spin ball off both sides, and yet so comfortable..

Tennis Warehouse rated the comfort at 90!
Higher than many I've tried.

I like 100 sqin and 16 X patterns so it fits nicely with me.

Yes the Organix V1 Pro was very comfortable and was ahead of its time producing a comfortable racquet with good feel and a little more power than the usual

General Völkl question - are the pallets interchangeable between say Organix V1 MP, V1 Classic, Organix V1 Pro and C10 Pro?

Adding 2 or more ups the handle weight 5g a pop..
Just be careful and take your time. Use an awl but very gently and slowly to remove pallets and try not to hurt yourself.

I'm looking for a new stick and always loved the volkl frames since I got my first one at about 10-11 yrs old (volkl quantum 8). I'm currently entertaining the V-sense 10 mid and V-sense 10 tour, and was hoping I could get some advice choosing one as opportunities to demo volkls in my area are hard to find (Brisbane, Australia).

A bit about my game: More or less all court with a one handed backhand. I like to serve-volley, hitting heavy topspin forehands and using my backhand slice from the baseline, but also love to smack a flat ball down the line.

Some of the frames I am familiar with and liked:
- Volkl Powerbridge 10 Midplus (18x20). Loved the feel and how it felt on serves and volleys. Good control from the baseline, nice penetrating slice, and was very comfortable, whilst still feeling responsive.
- Head Microgel Prestige Pro. Felt great everywhere. Probably preferred it to the volkl on groundstrokes, but not on serves and volleys. Felt nice, but preferred the feel of the volkl. Quite maneuverable for the mass. Also tried the Youtek version hated the feel. Felt more dead, and somehow less comfortable and lost touch from the stringbed.
- Babolat Pure Storm GT(?) (~315g strung I think). Solid all round stick. Good spin potential. Added a leather grip on top of the current grip + an overgrip, as well 2g of lead tape at 3, and another 2 grams at 9. This modification was a significant improvement, making all shots feel solid, stable and heavier. This was the first frame I experienced tennis elbow with though.
- Volkl BB Becker Pro. Good power, great spin potential and that volkl feel and comfort I love. Would've liked a bit more control and found it quite difficult to dial in my backhand slice. Also would've liked more mass.

Good chance I'll be putting a leather grip on to either frame just as personal preference. Any help at all would be appreciated :)

I agree with @mctennis about going for the C10 Pro (especially the older ones and up to 2012 model). Otherwise, if you're looking to get a Volkl, and you liked how it felt with the models you mentioned, I'd stick with the older models you mentioned as Volkl has gotten a bit firmer and the feel has changed.

I have stocked up on several C10 Pros (I buy one every time I see one in excellent condition for an awesome price - have 4 now), a PB10 MP, PB 10 Mid, and the BB DC Melbourne. All awesome racquets that are part of the "Permanent Collection".

If you're looking for other brands to try, the old-school Head racquets like the Radical Tour 630s, the Pro Tour 630, and the iPrestige MP are excellent and very few racquets of the current times can come close. Prince makes some pretty awesome racquets these days. I have the Phantom Pro 93P 18x20 (very good and feels like a 95 sq inch) and will be looking at the Phantom Pro 97P in the near future (hoping they make it in an 18x20 pattern or a 16x20 in the future). Angell racquets are also awesome and their quality is top-notch. My two favorites are the TC95 63RA 18x20 and the TC97 18x20. Which you would like will depend on the feel you prefer. For more info on those visit the excellent Angell Thread here on Talk Tennis.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, much appreciated! I have been looking at the c10 Pro, but was looking at the other two over the c10 pro mostly because of price.

I have seen two second hand c10 pro (2012) frames pop up for a good price in good condition and I'm tempted to pull the trigger on them, but they are in a 4 1/4 grip size, and I'm pretty sure I need a 4 3/8. I'm worried that if I need to increase the grip size I'll add too much weight.

Also, is there a big difference between the older c10 pros and the latest models?
