Semi-Pro
I'm crossposting this since I realized way, way more people here would have experience with PB10 Mids, even though this question is about a currently-sold racket.
I tried out a demo PB10 Mid and absolutely loved it, so I picked up this reissued PB10 Mid from an auction site, and it arrived in what seemed like really excellent condition -- barely any marks on the frame at all, grip looked great, newer reissued PB10. But I noticed these little bulges at the base of the throat, where the paint appears to have begun to split just a tiny bit. When I feel around that area, it's not completely flat, and I'm wondering if these are cracks (which would be a prime area for it, but given the condition of this racket kinda seems unlikely), or if they are just like a quirk of the mold in this area (totally possible). I don't have any other PB10 Mid's around to compare this against -- I do have an old MP that doesn't appear to have it.
It's hard to get photos but here's a couple that show the issue, it's right around the "K" in Volkl, on both sides:
That's a light reflection in the second pic, but you can really see how the bulge kinda cuts through it. Anyway I'm hoping someone with a PB10 Mid would be willing to check their frame to see if this is a feature or a bug -- if the paint is splitting there just as a result of there being a little bulge in the frame there then I don't mind at all, but if it's a crack then obviously I might arrange to return it.
Appreciate everyone's help!
