Volkl Powerbridge 8 better than Becker Pro?

I've been playing with a Powerbridge 8 for the last month and I really like this frame. I have an all court game and other than being a touch stiff, I can find no fault with the Volkl. I'm playing some of my best tennis with it and am thinking of buying a couple more. I see the Becker Pro has almost identical specs (and price) and was wondering, from those who have hit with both, if I should try the Becker Pro a try. Can anyone compare these two.

i think these two sticks are from the same family. im no volkl expert as there are great volkl experts here, but i play w. the becker pro. and im also playing my best tennis with this. im coming from a pdr and rd7. everything is easy with it, it is great. im assuming, the pb8 has a tad less power than bp because it also has fiberglass mixed in whereas bp dont. but i may be wrong, because pb8 seems like it also has like 2mm thicker beam than bp. it is definitely thinner beamed than my pdr which i hated frame shots with it. im pretty sure it is very similar racquet branded under becker name. again, i think they are very similar racquets, imo...great racquet, huh? :)

I would suggest you just stick w. your PB8. each of the newer models have been improvements
The beckerPro is better than the dnx8, and the PB8 is better than the BeckerPro. Not big improvements as they're all good racquets, but just a little better at everything and a very homogenous ball feel

i think, "better" is a relative term. depends on the person playing.

obviously....

from my experiences with all 3 racquets, each one was a little better. ie; performed slightly better at all of the shots and had a more homogenous ballfeel. the guy is happily using the PB8....i really dont think trying the others will give him any sort of performance bump..in fact, i think it would go the other way

also. w. each iteration of this racquet they have refined the use of the dnx material..i think that is an improvement, making the racquet better..

can you help me find an inferior older model racquet for sale, with no dnx in it, named tour 10 gen 1?

Does PB8 worth a try?

Guys,
I´ve been playing with my C10 for about 3 months. I love this stick because its great control and comfort. The weight is a concern because my arm feels some soreness and tireness after 1 hour of playing with it.
One day I played with my previous stick (DNX V1) but I miss the feel and touch of the C10. It´s not the same.
After reading some reviews about the Power Bridge 8 I believe I need to try this new gem. My problem is that I don´t have access to a demo program, that´s why your toughts are a very important imput to make a good decision.
If you have tried the C10 and the PB8, could you please elaborate pros and cons that you´ve found ?
Much better if you focus on:
1)Comfort
2)Spin potential
3)Control

Thanks for your time!

sorry.those are very hard to find, and I rarely would recommend frames that have been discontinued for a while. i like to think that people can find something current which would work for them..lots of good choices out there.

i used the Gen1's for a few years and have happily switched to customized B11L's ..it's got similarities to the Gen1

suggest the beckerV1...similar to the specs of the dnxV1 but w. a softer ball feel. the PB8 and c10 are really two diff types of racquets.

you have one already :)
Actually .... I have 3 ;). Seriously, do you know of any place that still sells them or were you offering to sell him one of yours??
I found a German website that still has them listed but they have been "not available" for ages...not sure why they keep them up on the website while "continuously unavailable".

Let me put it this way, new they are pretty hard to find, but second hand should work (i know a "dutch" site where a demo is available), i have a bunch of them yes but they are still in my bag, although i test a LOT of rackets i can't get rid of them...wonderful stick!

Problem is, i'm running out of grommets and can't seem to find new ones!
the grommet doesnt last too long on the red clay ;-)

ps: sorry if i go off topic here

Like Mojo said these become rare, i guess you're located in the US, if you were located in Europe i could probably help you...
Actually, I recently moved to a Mediterranean town in Turkey. So I am not that far. I recently purchased two DNX10 MP from an ATP tour pro (internet transaction) and I am awaiting the sticks now.

Judging by the previous posts, it appears that quite a few pros do play with Gen 1 under newer Volkl Pj's, and it sees respect among Volklists in the same page alike of Prostaffers, etc. So I was interested in the Gen 1, but I think if I like it so much, I may be in trouble as to finding more! :) So I will try and stick with newer racquets...

Btw- I like hunting at European E-bay now. And is there any European version of a Craigslist? Would like to try my chances of finding a new St. Vincent! :)
