I picked one up today, strung it with full bed of Cyclone Tour 17 at 53. Played 1.5 hours, including a set. I've played as regular rackets the DNX 9, DNX 10, Organix 10 325, Organix 10 295, Super G 10 325 and until today the V1 Pro, so I'm pretty familiar with the Volkl feel. I did not put any weight on this yet and only an overgrip over the original Biotac grip so this is stock. This feels very much like the original V1 Pro overall but definitely feels a little stiffer and the new grommets add a lot more comfort to an already plush stick. I could feel when I mishit a ball but felt no shock what so ever. For a guy who is paranoid of getting tennis elbow again, I could take swings at ball with a little more muscle when it got behind me for instance and my opponent at the net. The added vibration dampening didn't come at the cost of control at all, the difference was noticeable if I hit a solid ball in the sweet spot to a slightly off centered ball. Returning big serves was better in stock over the original V1 Pro in that it wobbled less but I'm probably still going to add some weight at 3 and 9 o'clock. It could be that this grip size is 4 1/4 and my old V1 Pro was 4 3/8, but this felt head heavier over my already weighted older model, even though the specs say its 3 pts head light. I'm hoping because its stiffer I won't have to add much weight to get some plow-through.
