Has anyone hit with the Volkl Tour 10 V Engine? (Mid or Midplus) Is it similar to the C10 Pro? Is it similar to any other racket?

i've hit with both...they really dont play similarly to each other and neither play like the c10pro either iMO. maybe the ve-mid would have a little similarity to the c10 because it's very headlight, but the string pattern is dense and it isnt as flexy in spite of what the specs might say

Hard getting hold of frames here sometimes, but found the Tour 10 VE for the first time last week, and where I've been tempted to get the C10 in the past as it's a lovely all round frame, I was really shocked how stiff the VE's felt. I haven't hit with it but just from swinging the VE around you could tell it's quite a stiff frame - reminded me a little of Tour 90's. Probably not much help, but best I can do.

jings the ve is rated very flexy..it certainly isnt stiff but it plays alot firmer than its rating and the c10 especially in the throat area where the v-engine is located. i dont think you will find it a stiff frame when you hit with it. i'm not a fan of the v-engine technology but thats just me..it seems to stiffen the frame and even though volkl sez it raises the sweetspot, it seems to lower it for me, and balls hit in the upper hoop seem to be lots less responsive than the c10 or the standard tour10's. most better players seem to hit higher in the stringbed. think the longer mains in the middle also make for a less consistent stringbed and the midplus v-engine reminded me alot of hitting with an oversize. i almost made the switch to the ve-mid.it's got a great weight and balance for me and a terrific feel, but i didnt like the sweetspot not being as expansive and high as it is in my tour10mp's and i had tons of trouble returning serve w. this axe but she sure served great and is a fun frame to play with because you can take big cuts at te ball and flatten it out w.o feeling the ball was gonna fly on you. ed
