Have any of you guys had a chance to see the new V Feel range by Volkl. Also is their any strategic significance with the new logo and what it might represent for the company moving forward ?

    Crocodile,

We met with our Volkl rep last week and got to see the first racquets launching from the V Feel line. The 6 and 9 got new specs. We should be getting our samples within the next couple weeks and will start playtesting shortly there after. The racquets are set to launch in mid April. I believe the new logo is just an update and Volkl wanted to refresh their logo. it will appear on all products going forward.

    Thanks,
    Brittany, TW

@TW Staff Any update on the release date of the V-Feel line? I see the 4, 6, and 8 on Volkl's website.

Can you share your first thoughts about the VFeel 8 and how it compares with the VSense 8 with regards to comfort and arm friendliness?

    BillKid,

Is there a specific weight you are interested in? Or just a general feeling of the new line?

    Thanks,
    Brittany, TW

I'd like to hear about the 300 and 315, but also the new 9, which has some eye-popping specs.

I'd also love to see the TWU data for these!

Any word from Volkl about when the Feel version of the V1 MP will be available?

I would be more interested in the V Feel 8 300g but if you could give us a général feedback about the whole line that would be great too

Alright let's see if I can answer all these questions.

Volkl V-Feel 300g is a great update. I am really enjoying hitting with it. It has great power and spin while being easy to maneuver. It was effortless to get the ball deep in the court. Like previous versions, I would say it plays similar to the Babolat Pure Drive, Yonex VCORE SV 100 and the Wilson Ultra. Compared to the previous version, I would say it plays a little stiffer as does the whole V-Feel line.

The V-Feel 9 is a whole new beast of a racquet. It is loaded with power and spin. It also feels pretty stable on contact. Did I mention there is tons of power? Like I said above, it also does have a stiffer feel to it.

Volkl racquets have a two year life span. The V-Sense V1 MP was released last year so I would expect an update in 2019.

    Thanks,
    Brittany, TW

Does the V Feel 9 really have a variable beam width?
The Volkl website says it has a constant 22mm beam and I'd be interested if TW's measurements are correct or a typo.
    Thanks!

Volkl updated the 9 to match the thicker/variable beam of the 6 (for power).

Regarding the Volkl website - it looks like they accidentally copied the specs for the V-Sense 9. They list the beam as 22mm, unstrung balance as 31,5cm and the number of crosses as 17. All these specs have changed for the V-Feel version.
