Anyone else use this string and think it's a pretty good all around string.
I've used the 17 and 18 guages in closed and open pattern racquets and really enjoyed it.
It's a round poly, I consider it on the softer but not soft-powerful side of polys.
Comfortable but with good feel, good tension maintenance/durability, I get plenty of spin
Just all around good
Right now TW has it for $7.99, or $5.35 if you buy three or more, that's great.
Just curious on other people's opinions

Never tried it, but looks like it’s comparable to TF red code which is a favorite of mine. Will take advantage of this nice price.. thanks

I tried V pro many years ago in silver color 18g along with some other copolys like cyclone and cyclone tour. I did not like v pro whatsoever. Racket was prestige mid and tension around 47 lbs. lack of feel and connection when hitting.

No love for Volkl strings...?
will try it in the next weeks in my go-to frame. Just had a hit on another frame and it was actually quite ok! and regarding Völkl I used a lot cyclone and like it as well.
Once i try the V-Pro 1.18 silver / grey colour, I will share some feedback

Well, i actually quite like it. In the beginning, and used to rather soft polis, I thought it was a little firm, but this was only for the first hour. I have tested this string now more, always in open pattern frames and like it. Spin but not exagerated, good directional control, super control in general, and I like the feel. It is not very lively, not too muted. I got a reel for a super price (I think) in grey colour and have now used 5 sets, so can say by now that I know it.
First stringjob at 24kg too high, now at 22 and lower, nice. competes now with other thin gauges that I like.
There are so many strings man...

Someone told me that most volkl strings are firmer/stiffer
But glad to hear it worked for you.

I just ordered some Tier 1 as I have heard good things about them, too many strings almost, it's crazy

What did you order from Tier 1 and how was it?
Haven't used em yet, I went in for the sampler pack+multi. It's basically all their poly strings and their multifilament. $44 for 7 strings, pretty good deal if you ask me.
I'm in the process of switching racquets, that's why I haven't used them yet. Don't want to waste a new string in a racquet I may not like
