    Hi,

    Seeking some advice to choose my next racquet. I currently play with a customized Volkl Super G 10 (295) - Tungsten tapes on the handle + leather grip and some lead tapes on the hoop. Like it a lot - only thing I desire is a little bit more pop on serves. Anyways, since it is time for me to replace it... I am considering:
    Volkl V-sense 10 tour
    OR
    Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310)

    Could you please provide some insights on what to expect from these racquets.

    Also, since the Duel G version is on sale - is there any significant improvement in the VCORE version? I have heard folks skipping the top cross and stringing the Duel G as a 16x19.

    Thanks.

    @Vikhe,
    Both of these racquets you are considering, should help add a bit more pop on your shots. The VCORE Pro 97 (310) swings a bit faster in stock form, has a bit more pop, and has the bigger sweet-spot of the two. The V-Sense 10 Tour feels heftier than the Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310), has a bit better precision, but the sweet-spot is a bit smaller. The V-Sense 10 Tour will feel a bit more firm than your current racquet, but still has that Volkl dampened feel which provides plenty of comfort. The Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310) has a slightly more crisp feel. If you are looking for some added pop, the VCORE Pro 97 will be the better option. The Duel G 97 felt slightly more lower powered, and more muted than the VCORE Pro. Even if you string it without the top cross, the string spacing within the majority of the racquet will be the same. I can't see it changing the feel of the racquet all that much.

    Thanks Troy.

    Would you consider the Yonex also a comfortable racquet like the Volkl?

    @Vikhe,

    I find the comfort to be pretty similar with both. The Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (330) having a more forgiving sweet-spot, and more mass, makes it play a bit more comfortable, in my opinion.

    I would have loved to play with the 330 - but I think i will not last too long with it in long matches with counter-puncher opponents... as I have seen with RF97 or the C10 pro.
    That's why I would like to get a lighter racquet and slowly weigh it up... But I will demo the 330 as well.
