W 2009 R2 - Tipsarevic vs Fish

I think this match deserves a separate thread as well.
Tipsarevic had two very good Wimbledon showing in previous two years, making it to the 4th round and beating players like Gonzo and Roddick in the process.

OTOH Fish is in decent form and beat Tipsarevic easily in their last meeting in Madrid.

Tipsarevic in 5 is my biased prediction.

So what do you think?

Arguably, clay is the worst surface for both players. Tipsy is better on grass.

I was thinking Fish's worse surface is clay, and Tipsy I think said clay was his favorite (may not be his best). I still say Fish in 4, since Americans are usually hopeless on clay, and Fish still managed to beat Tipsy on it.

Yes I loved his match against Nadal at USO.He played similar,was very aggresive,going to the net even more,played a lot of S&V.He won the first set but then Nadal started to read his serve better as the match went on,got more comfortable returning it and prevailed in 4 in the end.

wow you have an excellent memory. the only 2 things i remmeber about that match are mardy insisting that rafa be given the chance to serve over after a fan screamed out during rafa's service motion; and that rafa won.

Yes I made a mistake, someone before you corrected me too. Either way he would lost to any one of them.

American tennis is still going strong even though Spadea and Querrey both lost today. Querrey had chances to break Cilics serve a few times earlier in the match and he was up a break in the 2nd but also failed. Fish, Roddick and the William sisters are all alive too so thats a good thing.
