wallpaper photo request: Federer's Wilson frames...

VGP

Legend
I'm hoping someone out there in TTW-land could post a photo, link, or even email me a photo of Wilson's poster (hi-res preferably) for Federer's racquet history.....

....the one that shows the frames he used as he was growing up and reflects his long relationship with the brand. I think they put it out around the time that he inked his lifetime deal with them.

Thanks.

I was just thinking about that photo lately and would like to use it as my desktop wallpaper.

They talked about this photo on the wilson live cast recently. I'd like to have it too. Couldn't find it anywhere.

I'll make a deal, someone please tell me something about this racquet, and I'll find the poster!

Anyone know anything definite about this "Federer" signature version please?

If you'd like I can try my hand at making one. Give me a list of the rackets he used and I'll try to make some.

while we are on the topic of rogers old rackets i saw in the book "the roger federer story quest for perfection," i saw that in one of the pictures during which he was like around teen years he used a volkl racquet. He had the stencil and everything in the picture does anyone know anything about that

I think this might be it. My buddy found this pic on a Japanese site.

Is this what you're referring to? Sorry, don't have a larger version of the pic...

The pic I posted looks to be a card not a poster. You have the poster of this photo?

As for the PST90, sorry no idea. Must be Fed's personal stick.

But I bet another member on here would know. Remember, Equijet? Based on what he posted before, I'd be willing to say he has the greatest collection of rare rackets (pro or retail) in the world! I'm sure he has a stash somewhere! :)

And where did the great Equijet go btw? I'd love to see more of his Prostaff collection.

Cheers anyway:)

And yes Equijet will know. He is very busy and only posts every few months. Hopefully he will let me know in the future sometime. I'll shut up about that racquet now as I'm sure it's boring everyone!

I don't have the poster, but I do have a photo of it hopefully somewhere, will go and check:)

And I borrowed it seemingly from 888company!

Interesting thing I noticed in that pic...

Do you know if Wilson ever made a HPS 6.0 with a Silver W logo?

I've seen HPS 6.1's with the silver logos and yellow logos.

Buut I've only seen a HPS 6.0 with yellow logo.

Did Wilson ever sell a HPS 6.0 with silver logo or was it only the HPS 6.1 that had the silver version?

Excellent question:)

I think there were some early HPS 6.0 with Silver W's, but I'm not sure!

Federer used paintjob of the HPS 6.0 with silver and yellow W's, but he never used a paintjob of he HPS 6.1 ever!

Yes, a HPS 6.0 with silver logo would be pretty rare.

I've seen plenty of HPS 6.1's with the silver logo. Wilson first made the HPS 6.1 with silver logo and then transitioned to the yellow logo.

Yet another question for Equijet to answer I suppose!

:)

Thanks for the pic jimbo333. That's the poster I'm thinking of. I see you got the pic from the dude on e-bay that's trying to sell "Federer's famous frames."

IIRC, it's not that Sampras didn't like the PST90, it's just that he retired and didn't pick up a frame for four years. It was the ROK that was developed for Federer, but he didn't like that one and he gravitated to the PST90, or at least a modded version.......

Great pics of Sampras! Thanks, VGP.

Not quite sure, but the PST90 that Sampras is wielding does not look like the retail versions. What do you think?

The area where the throat is conjoined with the handle looks to be elongated - whereas the stock retail ones were shorter in length.

Very cool stuff nonetheless. Those are the first pics I've seen of Sampras using the PST90.

i never knew sampras actually tried the PST 90
thats soo cool
other than the handle part being different, it looks like a real PST. 5 crosses at the pws area

Dear jimbo333

Hello.

Your TOUR90 is splendid collection.
I want it, too! :)

The poster and the grip tape, the gut of the champions choice,
message card, certificate followed a limited released FEDERER model in Japan.
The poster is a design totally same as a message card.

I have three pieces only with a poster.

I have taken the autograph of SAMPRAS be a thing of 95SQ. There seem to be black and blue.
