Wanna try a new string (setup)

Hey all,

I just broke the strings on my racket, but instead of going with the usual I was thinking of trying an other string (setup).

I'm playing with a Babolat Pure Drive GT (135 anniversary edition) and have had it stringed with the RPM Blast up to now.
I quite like this string. Especially the amount of spin I can get from it when serving. So I'm looking for something similar.

I myself was thinking about the Luxilon Alu Power Spin? What would be a good soft and powerful string to add to the hybrid setup?

Other suggestions are welcome as well!


PS. I'm not that into strings, so I don't have much knowledge about them. To tell you something: I chose the RPM because it was new, specs sounded good and most of all, the black looked so good in my frame haha

If you're looking for a soft co-poly, you can try Signum Pro Hyperion and WeissCannon TurboTwist.

I know what you mean about how nice black strings look. For awhile I was trying out all the textured black polys, including RPM blast. I thought RPM blast was pretty nice, softer than average poly and good feel, just didn't feel it was worth the price. If you like RPM, I'd suggest you try Solinco BarbWire, it's similarly soft, but has way more spin. The downside to BarbWire is sometimes it doesn't hold tension that well.

Other decent, black, spin polys I've tried are Signum Pro Tornado, Tecnifibre Black Code & Volkl Cyclone. But none of those produce the spin of BarbWire.
