Wanted to share funny racquet comment

Tonight a social doubles group was playing on the court next to me. They were talking about some guy they played with. Someone said something about how hard/powerful he hits. A guy says "yeah you know how he hits so hard? He plays with a $250 racquet!" And he was totally serious.

Made me chuckle.

I was showing club.player,A at the local club, the new Wilson clash we received that week (a few weeks back by now),,
club.playerA was sitting at a table with his doubles buddys after playing,,
as I went on descriving the racquet to club.playerA, he said he liked the feel and was contemplating buying one after just playing with it,,
he asked his buddies about the spin and power during the match!!,, without missing a beat, CLUB.player.B said (seriously),, "I wont buy one!!, because I don't see any PRo PLAYERS using it!!",,

what do you say to people who "think" they can only play with PRO player endorsed equipment,,,,, AT THE CLUB level???!!!!

I do remember seeing a comment here like ‘clash is just a toy that no pro will use’

It just speaks to their tennis knowledge and experience. Hopefully with more court time they’ll learn that the cost of the racquet has zero to do with how hard someone hits.

This is precisely why I always buy 3 at a time, it helps me hit three times harder.

I really did not notice, but it would not surprice me
I would have hung around and explained how most pros don't play with the racquets we see on TV,, but when people make statements that far off from what I know to be true, then I don't bother anymore, life is too short,, and I have too many good tennis racquets to try myself..
