Funny thing is I only recently read up on how that was in fact the case, and can't help but agree, ESPECIALLY with the fact that he wasn't even nominated. Tommy Lee Jones won for his role in The Fugitive that year it seems. I watched that film (for the first time surprisingly) fairly recently and while I thought it was a good movie and a good performance from TLJ worthy of recognition, I didn't really think it was anything I'd necessarily reminisce about much. Doc Holliday, however, came across as straight up method and absolutely stole the show amongst an amazing cast who all put in really good performances (imo).Re-watched it recently. Val Kilmer should have won an Oscar for his portrayal of Doc. Don't think he was even nominated.
Dear sir,
Do you know the difference between quality of performance, and quality of outcome?
Kind regards
Yes. Nadal's 2015 level was even higher than Fed's.

It is going be a future thread from me.Youngdal was certainly better than old Fed without a doubt. I'd think differently if old Fed could at least defend his turf on grass.
Glad to be of serviceIt is going be a future thread from me.
Fedfans don't see the irony in this, but! Federer didn't need to raise his game to beat Roddick, and Cilic, handily! He just had to play 7/10th, and beat them comfortably most of the time!
He did have to sustain his best for just 2 of his opponents. So I don't buy that Federer played his best in the mid teens! Why? Because he didn't have to, not against Hewitt and Nalbandian and Roddick!
2015 Fed was superb. If not for Djoker he would win Wimbledon and USO without droping a setwhat percentage of his maximum Novak needs to beat Dimitrov, Djere and Sandgren?
lol

oh Fed was definetly superb...didn't you watch tennis back then?which can either confirm that Fed was superb, or to confirm how weak the tour is, if only Novak was able to stop old Fed

dude who cares how old he was? did you not see how efficient he played? Much better than when he was 26-28. You just don't want to give credit where credit is due.was he by any chance 26-28 years old then?
or there were no 24-28 years old competitors back then?
could you remind me which statement is correct
He beat more than his fair share of Federer and Nadal! And he didn't get to beat the Roddicks, Piolines of the world in Slam finals!what percentage of his maximum Novak needs to beat Dimitrov, Djere and Sandgren?

Yes, Roddick and Hewitt made him look GOAT like...but then other players joined the GOAT discussion.he is only as good as his opponents allow him to look like
there are opponents out there, vs which I look GOAT like, but I'm far away from being a pro![]()

Federer playing at 7/10 in the mid 00s proves nothing when it comes to his level, more about his competition if you want to make any argumentFedfans don't see the irony in this, but! Let it go.“I think I’m a better player now than when I was at 24 because I’ve practiced for another 10 years and I’ve got 10 years more experience,” Federer said. “Maybe I don’t have the confidence level that I had at 24 when I was winning 40 matches in a row, but I feel like I hit a bigger serve, my backhand is better, my forehand is still as good as it’s ever been, I volley better than I have in the past. I think I’ve had to adapt to a new generation of players again.” (August, 2015)
Martina Navratilova: "I don't know if I have seen a better match from Roger. He served amazingly well, was so relaxed and mixed it up so well with the serve and from the baseline."
Tim Henman: "Roger was incredible. In the context of this match, playing Andy Murray in the semi-final at Wimbledon, I think that is as good as I have ever seen Roger play.
Pat Cash: "People are surprised when I say this but Federer is a better player now than when he was racking up the titles. It's another thing if his body can last over five sets. The way that he is playing he could win the final against Novak Djokovic in straight sets."
