Was Gulbis a better player than Fritz?

Let's see Gulbis has a 248-239, .509 winning pct, which includes being below .500 in slam play and in the Masters.

Yeah, Gulbis would not only beat Fritz 40-0 in a 40-match series, but he'd go 36-4 vs peak Sinner and 37-3 vs peak Alcaraz.
 
10 match series at both in their best form, Gulbis 8-2

On a normal day, Fritz beats Gulbis 7-3

Fritz can never beat or scare Big 3

Gulbis could scare big 3 easily

Almost any player ranking in the top 20 during the years 2005-2015 would make any top 5 in current days **** their pants before sending them to the bakery. I include Sinner, Alcaraz, 2023/2024 Djokovic and 2022 Nadal too.

Tomic was a fool whose least problem was the strong competition. An alike player today would be Shapovalov. Great latent talent, but very little consistency. It's more common onwadays though.

How about Jerzy Janowicz? Alexander Dolgopolov? Florian Mayer? Juan Monaco?

Gulbis defeated Prime Federer at 2014 French Open. Then took a set off Peak Djokovic at the same tourney.

Gulbis took a set off Peak Nadal at 2008 Wimbledon and a set off Peak Roddick at 2008 US Open.

Taylor Fritz can't even beat Old Man Djokovic with an abdominal tear.

Please. Fritz is a mental midget vs Djokovic. Berrettini actually tries to beat Djokovic when they play.
