Was Tsitsipas overrated or did Djokovic destroy him?

Elbow injury/surgery is a huge factor, he hasn’t looked himself since clay season 21 and the elbow is a massive factor.

The other issue is his BH return is one of the worst in the top 50 and so he manages to lose games and sets where he’s clearly the better player.
He needs to hire Magnus Norman

His backhand return is absolutely embarrassing and would make Karlovic smile

He's just having a bad year, I think people will have to accept this is going to be normal with the post-Big 3 era. An injury and a bad loss is enough to lead to prolonged issues -- same with Medvedev this year with Nadal at AO and the hernia operation.

I still think Tsitsipas is a great talent, especially on clay. He has a lot he can improve if he works smartly on his game.

I think his time is over in terms of actually winning a slam. Djokovic ripped his heart out and now Alcaraz has him in his pocket.

It must also be difficult seeing Medvedev, his most hated player on tour being much more successful even though he is considered “less talented”. Same with Zverev who has enjoyed considerably better results recently and isn’t Alcaraz’s *****.

You can also check out his press conferences in 2022. Sort of unhinged, babbling about a bunch of nonsense. His actions vs Kyrgios at Wimbledon was him reacting to yet another player outplaying him. See also: purposely trying to whack Alcaraz in Barcelona.

He’s a total narcissist. Really are there is to say about it.

talking about that conflict for saltpeter..By the mid-1870s, the trade in these raw materials brought fabulous wealth to the ruling elites of Peru and Bolivia, flowing into Western banks, and the countries themselves turned into colonial vassals of British investors. When the Peruvian authorities tried to pursue an independent policy and introduced a state monopoly on the extraction of saltpeter in Tarapaca, the British inspired a conflict between Chile and Peru and Bolivia.

“This is a war between England and Peru at the hands of the Chilean army ... Chile would never have advanced an inch without the support of English capital, and not a single political combination in history has been played out so skillfully as this war, from which all the booty and trophies went to the British ”, — said the former US Secretary of State J. Blaine during the Senate hearings on the Pacific War...ringing any bells?:D @Sudacafan

He played a pretty impressive match against Sinner in AO.

Not sure if his ability to play his best is gone as much as it's the belief in his game.

It's not like Thiem's injury where you completely lose your feel for one of your shots.

Well, the AO F certainly hasn't improved Med's image even if he is more successful as of now.

Not saying it has but Medvedev has more titles, more masters, 1 GS vs 0, and has been ranked world no.1, which regardless of what anyone says, it's still an achievement to be the best player in the world for any period of time. He is definitely a better player than Tsitsipas lol.

Goes without saying LOL. Probably Zverev is also a better player than Tsits.

It all went downhill for Tsits when he couldn't win a single one of those close matches vs Djokodal in the clay season. CP point vs Nadal in Barcelona, I believe, MP vs Djokovic in Rome and then the creme de la creme up 2-0 vs Djokovic at the French and still losing. Guy still hasn't recovered over a year later.
