Wasabi x vs Restring Sync vs Razor soft

I am trying to decide on a cross string with V square 1.25 or O toro or hyper g 1.20 as mains

Can anyone comment on how are Wasabi x , sync(1.20) and razor soft (1.20) as a cross in terms of power, control and ball pocketing?

The strings are going to be on my new Yonex E zone 98 2025.

Looking for string with a little high launch angle, pocketing and decent power (not overly powerful).

I have tried restring zero(1.23) in full bed and felt it was too wild for me in terms of power and launch at times.

P6 tennis string that I tested was almost perfect for the racquet only left with craving a little more spin and higher launch angle at times.

I presume you're talking about Razor Soft Carbon and not Razor Soft White? (White is noticeably softer and more pliable than Carbon, almost to the point of playing like a different string altogether)

Will include both RSC and RSW below:

Power: Sync >= RSC = RSW = Was-X (this is very subjective and the gradient here is pretty narrow)
Control: RSC = RSW =>= Was-X = Sync (RS's slightly above Was-X and Sync, but all three very close)
Pocketing: Sync > Was-X = RSW > RSC
Snapback Amount/Longevity: Was-X >= Sync >> RSC >= RSW

Considering your racquet, main strings, and all qualities you're looking for, I would probably lean towards Sync 1.25. It's legit one of the best crosses on the market for the widest variety of strings right now, period, let alone what you're looking for and the racquet.

Why would one lean towards sync 1.25 compared to sync 1.20 especially if the main is a 1.23 or 1.20 gauge?

I thought thinner crosses provided more spin in general?

Very welcome, and in my trials with 1.20 vs 1.25, I found the snapback/spin facilitation to be about the same, but found 1.25 to be noticeably more controlled, while still pocketing decently. So pretty much all upsides.

Oh great! Planning to then try V-square 17 and re-string sync (1.25) in couple of weeks. Will report back on how that plays.

I’ve been thinking about doing V-Square and a round cross too - interested to see how it works out for you. Liked V-Square but want to tame the launch some.

I haven't used sync or razor soft, but I'm currently using wasabi x as a cross in my current setup. Before that, I was using ghostwire as my cross.

Tried Vsquare 17 and Restring sync 1.20, the snap back seems to be good and lasted longer than full bed of vsquare. The playability and snap back was very similar to razor soft in crosses.
The thickness of the Vsquare 1.25 was similar to sync 1.20.

Control and spin was really good. Launch angle noticeably quite high which helped. Only nitpick would be is that i craved for little more power.

What tension did you use full bed Zero. Did you also use a full bed of Sync in the Ezone 98? If so, what are your thoughts on that?

It was 51M/49C. Haven't used full bed sync yet but probably will not because I am looking for a string that increases the launch angle a bit and round strings in full bed won't.
