Washed up Thiem will never win a title again.

Mark my words. The completely washed up Thiem who'll never get close to being the player he used to be (regardless what some people seem to think) will never win another ATP title. I look forward to bringing this thread up in 1-2 years when he retires, unless he wises up and retires much sooner. :)

Federer made the second week of RG and Wimbledon on a bad knee. Thiem meanwhile has strung a 7 match losing streak, wherin he only managed to bag just one set. :)
Rent free. :giggle:

ok, all i said was that he will not win another title, like you say about thiem

Winning the USO was the worst thing to ever happen to him. He lost all hunger after that. Makes you appreciate what Nadal, djoker and fed have sustained the last 15-17 years.

Mark my given words: Timothy shall rise again and be top 10. Haters gonna hate.
Thiem will get to top ten, ROTFL!! Now that is funny. He can't even win a match on his favorite surface anymore vs the worst field in the history of men's tennis, and he is going to return to top ten? Good one. :-D

Thiem in bad form coming off injury: 28.5 years old

Djokovic when in bad form coming off injury: 29 years old

What it tells us?
Thiem was on a downward spiral before his injury. Ever since his loss to Med at WTF he’s looked like a shadow of his former self.

Some people seem to be expressing an unsettling amount of glee in this fact.

It may be true. His FH does look subdued because he's not using his wrist as much, which is a huge warning sign.

But I'll leave the premature obituary-writing to you guys. The more words you write, the more words you'll be eating if things take a turn

in all seriousness its been rough for him and I hope he gets back on track because he was a great addition to the tour

and also a hero for the VB:

He was never that much of a player anyway. Was lucky with the timing, Big4 partly in a slump, a trashy LostGen, and NextGen still too young.

Looking back I'm happy that match ended the way it did. Arguably a career-defining win. He earned every bit of that victory.

I have specifically bookmarked this thread.

I'm not convinced at all that he is Finnish. I believe he just needs a few months more to get back to his best level. And when that happens, he would be a threat at Slams again.

Meles would post

And then we'd get an angry response. ''All you have is that one Thiem gif.''

But it got them triggered each time. lol

He was super dangerous when he played his best tennis. Except in big finals, of course!
But you seriously didn't want your favourite player to face Thiem in the QF of a Slam.

He may not but why the bitter tone OP? It's unfortunate he got that injury when he was supposed to be at his peak but I do hope he gets somewhere near his best. Tennis is a much better sport with a fit Thiem at the top of his game.

Why are you so mean? Did Thiem steal your girlfriend or something?

Such a tasteless post. The got a serious and maybe a career ending injury, no need for this to be honest.

thiem will come back but i guess his whole practice routine killed him
i heard he is a hard worker
maybe its just too much for his body

Thiem, in addition to being a great player when he's on who had won 5 of his last 6 matches against Federer, 4 of his last 6 against Djokovic and 3 of his last 6 against Nadal, seems like a very nice guy who is missed on tour.

It's still premature to judge what impact his injury is having and whether he'll be able to overcome it and of course it's in very poor taste to gloat about it even for TTW.

A player got injured and will most likely never come back to his former level, and OP thinks it's funny. Why not go even further, why not saying he deserved his injury ? Completely classless as usual.

Yep.

In the end though, even if his injury forces him out and can't achieve his former playing level, he already achieved a wonderful carrer to be proud of. I mean a USO Grand Slam champion, many other titles, having solid wins over the top players (6/9 against the GOAT Nadal - 5/2 over Federer), and being able to walk away not too much worse for wear at just 28 years old with $30 million in prize money and probably at least that much again in sponsorship and comps...obviously the kind of success that lives rent free in some people's heads.

They say the ultimate reveange for deparity and hate is a life well lived, and Thiem has that in spades. I say very well done.

The Federer fans didn’t forgive Thiem for IW+Madrid soul steal and then Meme Finals trashing.

The biggest problem with Thiem is that he has these Schwarzenegger-Trainings and then he has no more energy left for the slams.

Austria is the terminator land.
