In terms of the greatest non-Nadal RG final performances, Wawrinka's win against peakovic stands tall against the others until yesterday's performance by Alcaraz/Sinner. Who wins in a hypothetical matchup between the two assuming the level they displayed in the respective RG finals.

Carlos still. Wawrinka had an awesome match that day and was blasting winners left right and centre, but so was Sinner.

Carlos won the match with his creativity and improvisation, and against Wawrinka he'd have had the additional benefit of his youth and speed around the court.

Also - and I'm going to upset the hornets nest here - Djokovic really caved mentally when the batch was going against him. He looked flat and he had the body language of a beaten man. Alcaraz in contrast looked fired up.

Given how Alcaraz struggled against any seeded opponent and how he was a point away from losing to Sinner in 4 i would say the scoreline would be the same as the 2015 final. Wawrinka would never choke like Sinner did yesterday.
